Blade stamps?

I've been enjoying this forum immensely after finding your guides for determining manufacture dates on a couple Waiter SAKs I inherited from my grandfather's estate. I'm curious to find out what I can, he wasn't one to carry a knife(when I knew him) and both are definitely used but in amazing condition for being made 1943-51(I think).

I haven't seen anything referencing the blade stamps that read 'Kaelin' and 'Zurich' that I presume are a maker and shop location? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, your guess would be correct, shop and location most likely.

Thanks for the reply! I've figured out these are N247 Waiter models from ~1946-1951. It's been fascinating to learn about the design evolution and figure out what I have. It's amazing how well these have held up. The slip joint sets up very well and I swear the cleaner one doesn't feel like the tools ever 'broke in'. I doubt it ever saw much, if any, real use.

I'd love to see some more pics of the whole knife and it's reverse side. Looks like a real beauty!
