SAK Technician/Package Opener

This can opener mod was inspired by the recent Victorinox Companion package opener. I do occasionally use the can opener on SAKs, but realize many may not so maybe this would be a cheaper option to consider vs the $85 price tag. Works well for opening Amazon boxes, blister packaging, or scoring cardboard. Obviously not as good at cutting cardboard, but I think it’s a fair compromise.

I really like this little mod as a box opener and you can always still use the driver as a technician or 2D phillips.

Looks pretty useful, almost getting close to my favorite box opening tool, the 93mm awl. I may try this one on of my can openers.

I think that the flat part of the can opener is sharpen enough to act as a package opener. No need to alter it.

Works better for me, but your right you can handle many things with regular opener. Of course with the right amount of force a butter knife can also do the job, just not a smooth clean cut you might say.  :whistle:
