Day 22:

I was working on bicycles again, and running a new rear shifter cable. The SwissChamp pliers held the cable tight while I tightened the fixing bolt. Afterward, I used the crimper on the pliers to attach the cable end.

I really do love the SwissChamp pliers. They’re the tool that I tend to miss the most, when I opt for a smaller Victorinox. They may not have the strength of a plier-based tool, but they excel at small hobby tasks.

Day 23

Used can opener to unbox my new toy. Even without being sharpened (as being discussed in the new SAK opener tool thread) it worked fine

And about 10 minutes later, works great

Day 22

Keyring tool group shot. Got the Swisstech 19 today, and debating replacing the Geekey. The Minichamp is by far the smallest and most feature packed of the three.

Day 22 of 30:
Not much today. My little boy woke up with a fever this morning, so I sat in my recliner watching monster truck videos on YouTube with him most of the day. This evening, we had a birthday party for both of my sisters in law so I used my Champ to cut open the packages of hotdogs and to cut up food for the kids. Only picture I got was the aftermath mess.

I'm a big fan of the pliers too.  They get the job done for me a good bit of time too

Day 21

I’m a day behind now. Forgot to post yesterday. Pulled a cup from the drain with the pliers. This happens frequently.

I love Volvos Antti!   Up until a few months ago, my oldest, Noah, had an '89 244.   I love the Bricks and hope to have one soon.  quote author=Antti Lammi link=topic=90584.msg2412293#msg2412293 date=1682203221]
Day 22 of 30

Today i used to remove lockthread (blue threadlock inside) on lock nut since it was only good size and right threads nut when we installed suspension kit to my brothers Volvo 850. Also scissors was used to cut some bandaid since you cannot get without wounds while fixing car.

!
Nice, my brother has now 2 Volvos, 850 T5R and V70 T5R, he had before 245 , 850 with t5r technic. My other brother had 3x 240, 2x 242, v40 and V70.
Myself never yet had Volvo but i have thinking to get one someday if i find right model

That’s the thing with the Pliers, you don’t need me often but when you do you do.

Needed ‘em the other day while installing a CB and really missed em as I had my Champion on me.

Day 23

Do we really need a tag on an electrical cord that says there may be electricity involved?

I decided to take the chance and cut the tag off.

Sigh

To bad the XLT wasn’t on me today, could have used the Electrician Blade.

Living on the edge there. Don’t go forgetting that electricity may be in that electric cord.

He's had a good line up of Volvos.  I'd love to find an older XC in good condition, or a C30.  It reminds me of the old P1800 wagon.  The older models are a backyard Mechanic's dream!

It actually did Surge  :D. It took some creative handling but it got it back on track.  I was outside and my sheepdog got excited and knocked it off, and all I had on me at the time was the Alox Minichamp, so I thought I'd give it a go.
Now THAT is an innovative use (did it work  :dunno:)
