My modded Swisstool BS with some edc stuff
on: April 19, 2023, 06:18:56 AM
Hello,

just wanted to share a picture of my most loved Multitool and stuff i carry around. The Swisstool BS is very special because Victorinox modded it for me (you can see the scissors that are not standard and the normal plier head, that was a capcrimper head before)
So the tool in this configuration is quite unique.
The other things i like to carry are my good old golden Casio, a new Emisar D4V2 (very powerful flashlight), my Flash e-Vapor on a Pico, a Rotring 600 pen from the 90s (original german made, not japanese) a 70s Bijou i carry on my neck with this new lovely leather pouch (hightly recommend it), my wallet and a Bic lighter.

Forgot to add my fixed blade, a Eickhorn GEK (german expedition knife) edc, my brother gave it to me, no longer made in this configuration, now made by Böker. The picture is a bit older but not much changes besides the flashlight (the Sofirn sc32 is a good light, the Emisar is just even better)

Might want to pick out a couple members by name then. Sending them a PM would also help your chances.   :tu:

Thanks all for liking it, i am quite fond of that setup too. So how does it work with that merit badges, would like to get one to post a modded Sak with edc items if that is possible.

Nice that Vic made those changes for you!  If you challenge 2 other members to post there, the EDC pocket dump challenge badge says 24hrs for them to respond.  I think you might state who you challenge in the thread, but send them a PM first to be sure they can oblige. I’d be happy to help out.

Edit: missed Zoidberg’s response he already replied with the PM info. Still happy to help I can post something once you send the “challenge.”

I’ll join PitCarver here for your EDC badge, Peddy. Here’s my current setup since the start of the Champ Challenge through this month at least. If we have to post in a dedicated thread per the merit badge rules, happy to oblige there as well.

I’ve been carrying my Swisschamp XLT with an Alox MC and food safe Alox Solo. Love this trio right now. These fit nicely with my Fisher Space Pen and Coast A5 in the pouch, but they’re typically in pockets/keyring. Notebook sits in the pouch also when not in pockets. Wallet, AirPods in pockets and chapstick, plaster and towelettes in pouch.

I dont know how exactly badges are handled in this forum but technically i got 3 in this post, 4 if the carabiner in the second picture counts.
Found on the badges overview:
Flashlight   Flashlight   Flashlight   Start a new thread and post a photo of a flashlight as part of your EDC
Carabiner User   Carabiner User   Carabiner User   Start a new thread with photos of your carabiners in use
Mod User   Mod User   Mod User   Start a new thread with a photo of a modded knife or multitool with your EDC
Time Lord Level 1   Time Lord Level 1   Time Lord Level 1   Must start a thread with a photo of your EDC watch
EDC Pocket Dump Challenge EDC Pocket Dump Challenge
Post your pocket dump photos then challenge two more members who must post their pocket dump photos within 24hrs for you to get the badge.

So please, any admin reading this (i have no clue how to contact them directly other than searching random threads) please if possible change the name of the thread so it counts at least for the edc pocket dump challenge, thanks in advance!

If not i would like to change the the thread/post name accordingly to at least the edc stuff challenge (edc pocket dump) because these nice people already helped me out with pictures, thank you for that!

I dont know how exactly badges are handled in this forum...

We try to keep it a badge per thread and post them in the appropriate sub forums if possible.

I have gone ahead and awarded some badges for you, congrats.

In the future you can request badges as explained here.

peddy - I've been away for a few days so I've only just seen your PM.

It seems that the esteemed zoidberg has awlready sorted out the badges for you so I take it you're up to speed with the way things work now  :tu:

Congratulations on your new badges and here's to many more :drink:

This is my work keyset. I recently added a Gerber Curve because...well, because I had it lying around ;) The little Olight is a great backup flashlight.

@Charlie Fox Nice keychain setup, like PitCarver. I have a very bland keychain, only 4 keys on a carabiner +carkeys if i need them. A Classic on a mini flashlight i have in my pocket seperately, keeps the clutter a bit away. Cool thing is the mini flashlight acts as a dangler with its clip.

I like the curve tool, as well, though the dime comes in handy when I need a small set of pliers.

Good stuff  :tu:

It was a work thing so the phrase "good time" is a moot point  (thanks for the sentiment though)
