Buck Warranty
on: May 10, 2023, 01:20:30 AM
A couple months ago, I bought a 110 secondhand on the bay. Looked to be in pretty good shape, but when it arrived, I realized there's significant vertical blade play. I think there's an issue with the backspring, which seems to depress too far when open, and not far enough when closed. I emailed Buck, and pretty quickly got confirmation that of course a second hand knife was covered under the warranty, send it right in, it might just be a while since they're backed up. Awesome CS! Made a note to buy a fresh one next time I'm in the market for anything they make.

I send the knife in, and get delivery notification from USPS. Wait a week or so. Nothing. I know they're backed up, but I was hoping to at least hear that they received it. Wait another week and send an email. No response. The knife has now been in their possession (according to USPS) for about a month with no communication. Is this normal? Is it one of those things where you don't hear anything until you hear something, and then it all zooms right along?

I sent in a Buck years ago but it seems like turn around then was only 2 maybe 3 weeks at most

I would just keep emailing them until you get a response or head to social media and try to get hold of them through that avenue  :salute:

Yours is not the first such instance I've heard of lately. I'm guessing they probably have a backlog, and things will start zooming right along any time now.
