Still wondering if I'll go with the Cianabar Orange CS3 along with a pair of scissors-less pliers or with the S2 alone

The CS3 is an undervalued bit of kit imo, pairs great with an alox SAK or something like a skeletool …..and you’ve just reminded me to dig out mine :)
