Day 3

Like Adam, I used my Surge while putting together a day bed.  And I used it in a way I have never used any other multitool ever... I used the ruler!   :o   :ahhh  I had to screw in a wheel 50mm from the edge of some slats, and there were no guide holes.  Surge ruler to the rescue!

I sorta used the ruler on a Kick when assembling a cabinet. The back panel had to be secured with nails spaced four inches apart. Conveniently, the Kick was four inches closed!

A great Day 3, y'awl! :tu:

I wanted to do this challenge but the surge would hurt me too bad. My back acts funny with too much weight on my hip. I'm good to carry a wave now and then. The surge is such an awesome tool and look forward to seeing you guys carry it.

Used the can opener. I usually never do,  but this is a challenge and I have to bring my A game! Worked great!

I’m working around the house today, and the Surge actually rides nice in my work pants.

I know the Surge is a rather large tool. The Klein to the right of it looks monstrous! :like:

Day Five

I thought today was going to be a glamour shot until I got home from a night shift to find out the lock is jammed on the the mother-in-law’s front door.

The key will wiggle a few degrees, but won’t lock and won’t turn enough to take the key out.

I’ve tried stripping it down (and hitting it) with the Surge, but can’t get the lock cylinder out.

I put up a wanted post for a Leatherman ratchet driver a few hours ago, but after disassembling and reassembling this thing about five times, now I really want one.

Any locksmiths in town?

It is actually the same size or a touch smaller than a Buck 110.

The Sportsman knives that are made in Japan, such as mine, seem to have a good rep and I think mine are great.

The newest ones are made in the US (by Utica I believe) and don't seem to be as good according to reviews I have read.  :dunno:

Day 5

The small flat has is useful for slotted screws,  even though it has a bit exchanger. I like this size driver for things like switch plate screws.

Day Six

A follow up to yesterday’s locksmithing session - the key got damaged while trying to extract it from the lock, and as we have another keyed-alike lock in  the house, I wanted to completely destroy the damaged one before disposing of it.

The Surge was involved, but I thought I’d bring a friend since it’s Crunch Tuesday.
