Not at all Alan.. glad to have you!!
I just got back from my trip and a week without a computer is both freeing and frustrating.  I will start today as soon as I figure out where I packed my camera.  So many great pictures and creative uses so far. I hope I don't disappoint.

Exactly GB!  We used to start the fire in the furnace with junk mail and still use it to light a fire in our fire ring out back.  Nothing better than that!

Our town still has a print newspaper and a circular. I really do prefer reading the physical paper but when we’re done or the coupons are expired we use it as fire starter.  That and the junk mail, which thankfully isn’t as bad as it used to be.

TBH, I always feel Spirit is probably the tool I'd like to have in a wilderness emergency situation, at least the shinny exterior will be good for signaling.

I’ve wondered about the reflection on the swisstools or SAK blade. Can they actually serve as an alternative mirror reflector at distance?

Day 6

More jobs that thankfully the Spirit is well suited to tackle.

Installed a range above the stove. Not hard wired, rather connect by standard 2 prong plug. Used the wire cutters to cut and wire scraper and stripper to connect.  Also used the chisel to open the box and Phillips to remove the cable housing box under the range.

Day 6

NKD! The Spirit helped open, and then adjusted the screws on this very 90s semi-transparent Svord.

Day 6

Used the scissors today to open some crackers and the butter blade to slice up a cucumber. Love the serrated blade on this version.

Day 01

Starting out showing the logo on my Spirit with the shield and Victorinox in line.  The shield and V are larger than the rest of the letters.  It also has the shield on the pliers.

Trimmed a couple of threads off my jean pocket where I carry a knife or in this case a multitool. No pic. Wish I had a third arm. It was exciting.

That's a great idea!  I never thought about yoga mats.  They're definitely anti slip.
They work very well Barry, the better quality ones are more anti slip but the cheaper thinner ones let you close doors so I’ve a mixture

Coco was 13 in May and about 18 months ago X-rays showed her arthritis was really bad, the vet said some of the worst she’d seen

Coco is a tough old girl (40kg ridgeback mastiff cross - not to be messed with in her younger days  ) and has been fighting through it, she’s always happy even with everything she must be going through, but the last 6 months she’s had trouble standing up and the last two months unable to walk very far

With all that she’s still hanging in there, still has a huge appetite, still barks at the postman, loves being the centre of attention and still strong as an ox. I just have to give her a helping hand much of the time, which I can tell she really appreciates, she’s very affectionate with me

Poor Coco!  Is she on any anti-inflammatory meds to help?

Thanks GB, she’s on a load of stuff and I’ve tried just about everything at one time or another over the last few years

Every three weeks she gets Beransa and Sinovan injections (was every four weeks) is on Metacam and Gabapentin and fish oil, but these days it’s only the proper meds that    seem to help

Because she drags her feet to the extent her claws are all worn down and bleed, I have to put her in boots when we go out for a walk which unfortunately this makes her walking worse but she’s extremely patient and as I say above always happy. She had a couple of friends visit her most days, Millie a Rottweiler and Chilli a brown Labrador who both treat her with the respect an old lady deserves, dogs are incredible creatures

This is her foot for an idea how badly worn her claws are, sorry it’s a little gruesome

I have had dogs with bad arthritis before and have had to put booties on their feet before. Coco looks content taking a nap, though!

Chisel is just great, i wish that Victorinox would do same desing on SwissTool too. I know i could just do it myself but i really like if it came from factory like that way o  SwissTool too.

Day 7

Early start to Saturday. It’s lawn care day and mulching tons of leaves is the plan.  First, took down a couple big dead branches and trimmed off the smaller branches with the saw.

Pulled a few random nails. This house has had a number of occupants over the years and we just keep finding these random nails. I think someone nailed up a curtain rather than hanging it in this window.  :dunno:

Pairing with the Rally makes a great combo.

I wish Vic would offer the option of customizing their products.
I understand why they don't, but it would be so nice if they did  :dd:

Sorry to see the feet dragging pix, but she is under such good care of yours, I am sure she appreciates it without a doubt. :tu:

Definitely one of the most unique features in Spirit, MT users/collectors probably have different opinions on each tool implements, but I have yet to see anyone who genuinely hates this chisel tool.
