Charge TTi question....

I am looking to possibly buy a Leatherman Charge, originally I was going to go with the black anodised scales, however, I am rather taken with the TTI. Here in the UK there are a number of stockists, some of them appear to have the TTI with cap crimpers (which I do not want) and others without them (which I much prefer). Is there a model serial number change for the two versions, or are they simply older photographs that have not been updated? I will probably mail order and, of course, wish to avoid the hassle of sending something back.

I think it’ll just depend on the turnover of each supplier. I doubt it’s a big seller, so it’s quite likely some cap crumpet models are still sitting around in stock rooms.

Somewhere like Heinnie would probably be happy to check what’s in the box before sending it out to be sure you get the one you wanted.

Yes, that makes sense. If the cap crimper is an older variant it should be quite easy to source a newer variant. Thanks for your thoughts on this, I appreciate it

The change just happened recently (this year) and you might be able to email the seller (as Crunchie said) and ask for one without cap crimper if that is what you are wanting
