Day 5

Opening a package - not a very original use, but at least I got to use the blade for the first time in this challenge...

As long as it does what needs to be done, any use is a good use. :like: :tu: :tu:

Day 5 of 30:
I've been using the MC all day to peel oranges, open more birthday packages, snip the top off of popsicles, etc. The only picture I snapped was cutting up my little boy's pizza after he ate the crust off of first and then was having trouble holding it. It feels kind of weird only having this little thing in my pocket after always having a bigger SAK along also. The weekend went by way too quickly. Back to the classroom and paperwork tomorrow.

Apologies for failing to report.  It was a busy weekend with having to work half of Saturday, driving out of town to visit with my sister and check in on Dad.  Did manage to take some pics on the way though.

To add to Day 3, my MC finally got to see some use in the evening by clipping a stray thread from daughter's chubby Buc-ee.

Day 4 - Got to fix a door knob at my sister's house.

Day 5 - Made short work of the packaging my daughter's toy tea set came in.  Surprised how well the scissors did.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Get out of bed, sleepy head.  I have a birthday present for you.
A birthday present for ME.  How did you know it was my birthday, IMR?
We both have the same birthday, imr.  That's how.
Is that it?  With the red wrapper?  I'm so excited.
Let me snip the annoying plastic staples out with something.  Let's see.... Here it is.  Our Mini.
Hurry.  I can't wait.  What is it, IMR?
Here we go, imr.  All yours and happy birthday.
Wow!  You're the greatest.  Best gift I've ever gotten from me.  New sox!
I'm just as happy as you are.

Another day dawns or rather dawned hours ago and its time for an entry.....scientific experimentation is often done on things that no one really cares about, so in this spirit I decided to see whether the ruler and straight edge were capable of delivering straight lines in my diary, and whether this effort would pay dividends or drive me into the arms of my Farmer alox.......fortunately for continuing in this challenge, effort was expended, lines were drawn, and confirmation that only a madman or someone doing a monthly challenge would try and draw long lines with an MC ruler

I might just open a can of Campbell's Tomato soup for lunch.  I saw in a movie once, that some traveler down on his luck went into a diner and asked for a cup of hot water.  Free naturally.  Then he picked up the ketchup bottle, salt, pepper, and made tomato soup.  I think I tried that once.  Doesn't work.  Eeck!  Best wishes.  G

Sardines were staples for fishing trips.  Easy to slip a can of sardines or maybe vienna sausages in your fishing vest or creel.  Crank off the top with the little key soldered to the can bottom.  Eat them with a pocket knife.
I never tried putting either of them on a hook, but that just might have been a secondary function.  Beanie weenies were good too.  Best wishes.  G

The minions are away for a couple of hours this afternoon which gave me the opportunity to trim and clean my claws.

Thumbs up folks.

Day 6, nothing special today. Just a very busy day at work that offered no use for the MiniChamp.
