Lookin good, Pit.  The color of the cord goes well with the silver alox too.  All the knots are nice and even.  Pretty.  Best wishes.  G

Thanks buddy.
Color was the primary reason that I picked it.   (It also goes quite well with my current hair color.)
Had made a black one from gutted 550 but it was way too bulky.

Just how many MiniChamps is too many?

Now I don't need to do absolutely anything to get ready for the November to Remember MiniChamp challenge, next month because I've been carrying one, daily, for quite a while now.   But, last night I realized that I had 2 on me and 2 more next to me, all trying to decide what to start the month out with.

I may have a problem.

Carry each one for a week.  Then none of them will feel left out.  Or you could carry the one that is already scarred up.  That would keep the others pristine?  Maybe?  You know, I think you do have a problem.  Best wishes.  G

None of these are pristine, guaranteed.

Those are just the ones I either had on or near me.  (Not counting the several others that I could get to fairly quickly.)

All my gooder ones are stored away.

I DID say that I may have a problem.

Only if you have more than three ... hundred MiniChamps.

Everything fine.

I wish somebody would add Marlowe to the list.  How many does that make now, ten?  You can sit in the back with me, Marlowe.  We will make paper airplanes and giggle at the teacher.  Best wishes.  Gary

Fun is the only reason for this, the way I see it.  I liked the looks of your lanyard so I decided to carry my Mini on a sort of lanyard too.  I have to use something or I will lose it.  Putting it on my keys will just get it beat to pieces.  I found a nice black shoestring that I can anchor to a belt loop on one end, and a snap link sort of thing on the other.  Mini will clip to the snap link.  Obviously.  When I need to use the Mini, I will fish it out of my right front pocket and unclip it.  It isn't pretty, but maybe it will work.  Plus I didn't have to shop for anything.   Fastened to a key ring makes this tiny knife hard to use anyway.
That is today's plan.  Subject to change.  I gave the main blade a few licks on an Arkansas stone and it is nice and sharp.  The little curved 'emergency' blade or letter opener was already keen.  That thing is perfect for slicing open envelopes.  I may just make it through this challenge after all....?  Best wishes.  G

Paper airplanes sound good to me.

I’ll be honest though. The thing that worries me the most about this challenge is that I will discover that I don’t actually need to carry a 91mm SAK…  :-\

I forgot to mention the rules.  Pit, Marlowe, and me all sit in the back.  If any girls walk by in the hall we make animal noises.  Slump down in your seat.  Throw stuff when the teacher isn't looking.  And..... oh yeah.  Marlowe brings the paper for the ...you know.  Pit brings the gum so we can all chew it in class.  I will bring the comic books.
Everybody bring your little knife with all the cool blades.  Nothing else or we'll get caught.  If you forget to bring one, don't worry.  Pit has a bunch of extras.

i'm not sure how we could append a star to a badge that is already up on the site. The only way to do it would be to make an identical badge that has a star on it and submit that but that could get really confusing really fast so let's just stick with what has worked so far i guess.

Maybe it's possible to earn a single use badge during this challenge I will look further into this and get back to you PC  :hatsoff:

It's not an issue, Explorer. Definitely not the first challenge I've duplicated around here.  🙄   I'm doing my third Chuck Yeager challenge in December.  😀

Doesn't have to look pretty, G.  As long as it's functional and does what it's supposed to do.
I've used shoe laces,  leather thongs , paracord and even small chain for lanyards. These days I don't wear pants with belt loops because of weight loss so I need a neck lanyard.
I made mine because I can't find a Victorinox lanyard anywhere.  I figure that the cost was far more than what I wanted, figuring in the time it took, but what the heck.    I'm old and deserve a nice lanyard.

Now all you have to do is swear the MiniChamp oath.  Repeat after m...   What....?  Are you sure....?  There's no MiniChamp oath....?  You're sure....  She doesn't have to.....?
Correction.  No oath required.  You just need to have fun.  You're in.  Best wishes.  G
