my guitar strap broke at band practice so used the scissors to snip some paracord to fashion a makeshift strap. the main blade probably would have worked better but i was curious if the 58mm scissors could handle the job.

Day 11 of 30:
Spent the day in the woods with my wife and kids. We sounded like a heard of elephants teomping around, but we sure did have fun and make some memories. The kids each found a moose scapula, so they were as happy as could be. The only deer we ended up seeing was a Whitetail doe and fawn that walked out 30 yards from the Suburban while we were parked at a forest gate while it was raining. We had a great time!

Dear Uncle Vic,
      Hope you are well.  We are living the dream here in California.  We stay with a cool lady.  She just bought a pretty little scooter.  Our place is nice, but a little warmer than the old country.
      I got some of the relatives together for a photo.  Everybody started out as redheads, but some of us changed our look.  Classic, right?  I'm pointing at my oldest, Claire, in pink.  She hangs around with directors.  And executives.  You know the crowd.  Her brother Oscar is just above.  He's into metal. 
      My cousin Helene is the one with the bug outfit.  Next to her is the one who looks like she got swallowed by a kaleidoscope.  That's GiGi, her little sister.  Let's see.  Oh yeah, the big husky one is Ramon.  No relation.  He just hangs around and drools over GiGi.  Billy is the one under wraps in the middle.  We are all trying to get him to come out of his 'cocoon'. 
      Of course, your sister Belle is the one with the shamrock get-up.  Duh.  We all miss you a lot.  We sure miss all the cold weather back east too.  NOT.  Got to go.  I just heard the ZZZZ of a Vespa coming home.  Love you.

I had no idea that chestnuts have those "burrs" or prickly parts.  The interwebs say it is to prevent predation until the nut is ready.
