while carrying a MC on the keychain is definitely handy I encourage anyone doing this to awlso try pocket carrying just the MC- so that they may experience the freedom of carrying just a 58 mm.

for its capabilities it feels quite nonexistent when carried in the pocket compared to say this Uncle Henry which is quite noticeable- especially by local law-enforcement.  :o

my guitar strap broke at band practice so used the scissors to snip some paracord to fashion a makeshift strap. the main blade probably would have worked better but i was curious if the 58mm scissors could handle the job.

Mission accomplished :salute:

Glad to hear you are in a band.
Great use Explorer! :like: :tu: :tu:

I played lead guitar and sang in a band from 1975 -1996 and have been playing as a solo performer since 2000.

Well played on the apple, sir.

Powernoodle Day 12

I too sliced up an apple with my Mini Champ.  Not something I would normally do, but that's sorta the point.  I deployed Himalayan salt on my apple for extra yum yum.

Nice work on the apples, folks! I'm sure it's easier to cut up an apple with the 58mm blade than it looks, but... it doesn't look easy!

that's cool Vic! are you currently still doing solo performance?

Yeah being in a band is lot of work but it's great fun. Especially when it's with good friends. I'm also a vocalist and do some solo performance- over the past few years though I've put a band together and we are currently recording an album in the studio.

You must have really been jamming to break the strap!  (Image removed from quote.)  (Image removed from quote.)

yes it was an intense jam however the leather on the strap had begun to crack luckily I caught the guitar before it went smashing to the ground.  :ahhh

One of the downfalls of carrying an Alox MC is the lack of the scale tools.
I've only used a Victorinox pen a couple of times.  When it comes to removing splinters I rely on the emergency blade over the tweezers.  One thing that I have missed over the years is the toothpick.

That may be changing, very soon.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

My dentist has been after me, for the last couple of years, to let him remove the last few top teeth and make me a set of store boughts.   His wish is looking more like a reality as I developed a tooth ache yesterday afternoon.  Tylenol, bourbon and orajell for the temporary fix.

I totally dread the idea because old Grumpy does like to eat.  The thought of Jell-O for an extended period is killing me.

DAY 12  I used the screwdriver to fix part of my battery charger.  :tu:  One prong of the charger was bent and kept letting batteries fall out.

Cool.  I haven't used the measuring tool/screwdriver yet.  There is still time.  Lots of good posts and interesting paracord work from several tool fans.  I wonder if anybody will try to carve a Turkey with a Mini?  Best wishes.  Gary

MCNTR DAY 12

used the flathead screwdriver tip on the ruler to tighten the screws on an interesting switch plate cover that my wife picked up.

Day 12

I went out tonight with a friend. When we left the bar, it was raining cats and dogs. Of course, this was the precise moment my bicycle's back light mount got stuck. Luckily, I had the MiniChamp to fix the problem. Honestly, I cannot praise the combo tool highly enough!
