Day 14
Used the Midnite MiniChamp to get a good view at the reading of the electric meter.
When I sent this MiniChamp in for repair I asked if they'd replace the red light with white and they did!  The newer versions are very bright.

Great use of the flashlight FB! :like: :tu: :tu:

I agree!

The white light is much better.

Great pics!

DAY 14   I went on a walk at the nearby preserve and took some pics at high tide.  The small tributary in the pic with the MC runs into the river.  The kayak dock gets submerged at high tide, even though the ocean is miles downstream.  The water isn't dirty (although it could have contaminants in it).  "Black water" comes from the tannins in the pines.

Thank you!
I love the white led, it gives plenty of light! Halfway through the challenge, I cannot help but think that the Midnite manager may be all I will ever need in a 58 mm SAK..
I turned one of my Vagabonds into a Midnite Vagabond and I know I could carry that daily and not feel like I'm missing anything, until I go camping.

Nice area Fireman!

Day 14

Once again my little MC proves to be invaluable when it comes to cleaning up my 3D prints.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Day 15
I wondered how long it would be before our friend Aztec started making SAK scales with a 3D printer.  Looking good there.  Even got the cross and shield.  Impressive.
I see our amigo Marlowe is hard at work (maybe in his new shirt) doing code work with a compooter.  I don't need any computer for that.  I still have my Captain Midnight decoder ring.
Today's annoying post is just an old ad.  I don't really like candy much.  I do like chocolate.  Dig in.  Just don't eat the green ones.  Or was that, don't eat anything but the green ones?  I don't remember.  Just leave me a few.
Best wishes.  G

Victorinox scissors are the best for that kind of detail work.  No matter what I am carrying, I'll always have Victorinox scissors for that reason.

Same here.  I've got a Signature on my key ring, and I put Classics in first aid kits.

Used the Midnite MiniChamp to open a box.
Inside is a user condition PST that I won't fear putting in my pocket without sheath.

Half way through November and no sun today.  Energy levels are falling below the optimal level today.  Definitely time for an extra dose of D3.
Today's offering is my only MC that I've tried to take apart.  Came in a handyman special deal.
MiniChamp that someone must have used an electric knife sharpener on.  2 rusty SD's, one with Camo scales and the other with these John Muir scales.   I had never taken a SAK apart ( and haven't since either. )
Took the pen blade from one SD and the scissors from the other and completed my fix by only having to remove and replace a single pivot pin.

As you can see the scales were pretty worn so I attempted to keep the design intact by spraying a clear coat on them.  This is why I never invest in LE's.
You'd think that Victorinox could come up with a way to make the designs last so they can actually be used.  Someone commented, recently, on the Camo scales that I put on another MiniChamp, that the camo wears away to plain black scales over time.

That's my rant today so I'll relinquish the soap box for the next one.
