Day 18

When I was younger, I liked going to Ikea but didn't have proper tools to assemble the stuff. These days I hate going to Ikea but at least the assembly is no longer a chore.

The MiniChamp, though eager to help, had to content itself with minor cutting tasks.\

Nice pic Simon! :like: :tu: :tu:

Not wanting to tear apart the napkin package like a neanderthal, my little MC came to my aid.  We do live in a civilized world you know.

Day 19
MiniChamp vs Holly.  Tiny blade nipping small overhanging branches.  Photo was posed with one hand.  It takes two to do it right.  I usually do it with a SAK saw blade.
Turkey is thawing slowly in the defridgerator.  Too much meat for me.  I expect the fur covered varmints that cruise around looking for a meal at night will share quite a bit of it.  I raised a good crop of raccoons this year.  The skunk yield per acre was quite good as well.  All of them are free-range, 100% natural.  Non GMO and no additives.  Best wishes.  G

Day 19

Changed my car's headlight today. I used full-size screwdrivers for the job; still, I couldn't help but notice that whereas in a pinch I could have done the job with a 91mm SAK (ideally a CT34), the MiniChamp's drivers are too small for this kind of work. No matter, it helped me to open a beer afterwards, so all is good in my book  :-)

One of my favorite uses for any of my Victorinox knives has to be cutting a cigar in half.   Perfect day to be out on the porch, enjoying a smoke, mid 60's and partly cloudy.

I've had good luck with the 58mm Phillips on some #2 screws, but... it kind of depends on the shape of the screw head and how tight the screws are. There is definitely an upper limit!

On the other end of the screw scale though, I find the 58mm Phillips to be the perfect size for most electronic devices. In the past, I've done full laptop tear downs and rebuilds with nothing but my Rambler!

Day 19 and a rather unpleasant chore, but one which the MC orange peeler came in handy for, clearing a blockage of gunk from a small basin plughole  ::)

:iagree: For electronics and battery compartments, the combo tool rocks!

Gotta love the combo tool.  Haven't had to use it in this year's challenge, but as I remember I used it a lot for the grandkids toys.  They'll take them to the Boss Lady and she sends them directly to me.
