January OHT Challenge

Leatherman has retired the OHT  :ahhh  Let's give this tool a proper send of with a 30-day Challenge!  :salute:

This challenge has the usual rules:
   - Carry a OHT for 30-days.
   - Try to use every tool on the OHT at least once.
   - Post a photo of your OHT everyday, either an action shot or a glamor shot.
   - Post a summary of your experience on the 30th day.   

The Challenge Starts on the 1st of January and finishes on the 30th of January

I’d be happy to join in with this, but I’m going to need someone to buy me an OHT from the US Leatherman site and post it to the UK.

Anyone fancy it? The black with black molle sheath is showing as in stock for you guys, but not on the European site.

After the lat OHT challenge I was in, I gifted my Black OHT to Rapid Ray for being a great cheerleader for the entire month.

Did not think I would use an longer since I retired. 

Wrong!  After a few months I yearned for the only try one handed tool LM made, so much handier than my Gerber Diesel and MP400.

So I found another black and it sees action most frequently!🙄🤪👍😎
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

I’m too late to edit this post, but if anyone does have the time to grab me an OHT, I’ll obviously pay for the tool, shipping, and a bit on top for the trouble.

I re-read it and realised it looked like I was after a freebie.

I overlooked it when they were available in the UK, but most of the people who post about them on here seem to like them.

I love a challenge as much as the next member but, quite frankly, I'm not a fan* (see below, Daredevil Challenge)

DAY 30

After the parched looking ghost Chilli yesterday here's the OHT with a well hydrated Lily  :tu:

I think it's fair to say that this has been a struggle for us awl.

For me it has been less of a struggle simply because I had chosen a LM (albeit one I just can't get on with  :dunno: ) Therefore, it's well designed and well constructed.

However, I find the OHT blades too short and the plier locking mechanism too fiddly (it just moves on its own) Moreover, it's VERY bulky and has no scissors  :rant: It's mostly done everything asked of it but, due to work demands, I've not needed to use it as I used my O/G Surge during July (which is just typical  ::) )

I guess that if push came to shove I could use it for work, but I wouldn't choose it over my Surge or, if I'm honest, my original work issue MP600. I guess it's just ok  :dunno:

If I had to choose just one LM MT it would be my O/G Surge (not had a chance to use my new B/O one yet because of this challenge  :pok: )

However, I do like my MXBS and if they made a Surge sized one.... :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh
