Another beautiful picture Stitchy.

Question for my curiosity😁

Is this ocean coastline!?  Low tide, and if so where on your island?

I must share,!Scotland, Ireland and England plus Norway and Iceland are bucket list places to visit, it is just I am sure my days to accomplish are becoming fewer😵‍💫. So must get a planning,  (note renew passport)

   Atlantic coast, low tide... PM sent  :salute:

Day 14
It was cold but dry today here with 6°C/42.8°F down in the valley and around 0°C/32°F on the mountain we climbed today. We took the chance and had lots of fun. But I felt the affect of all the Christmas goodies still and am super tired now.
Or maybe it was the big old OHT that was dragging be down?   :D

 Thanks JonesE!  It just occurred to me that I'll have Three months in a row of one hand deployable multitools after next month's Gerber Challenge.  It's making for some interesting comparisons right now.  I like the fact that the OHO is totally one hand deployable,  It's rugged tool with excellent blades and cutters.  Having spent time in sandy environments, it would definitely be more challenging to keep clean compared to the MP 600, but it's doable.  It's most definitely a tool for my current line of work.  Being one hand deployable, it would come in handy when you have a flashlight in your off hand.  The saw gives it some off duty use as a camping tool.   I've only used a belt cutter once (so far, just under 4 months to go) for it's intended purpose and that was with a Swisstool RS.  The strange thing is, most people in my life of work use knives and rarely have a multitool in their person.  I usually have both, one within reach of either hand.  Not for anything exciting, just so I can cut myself out of a bind should I become entrapped or to cut something open and still have my other hand free.  This can be done with some effort with the Swisstool I currently have, but it would be a lot easier with the OHT or possibly the MP600.

Sorry to ramble.  Just some things I've been thinking about with the different challenges we've been in the last couple of months.

OK, I know this weird, freezing weather, blistering cold, yet, I enjoy my water cold poured over ice!  Chipped ice if available.
The OHT was the tool that helped make it happen, beast😁   Also.  Saved me about 4 steps to and from other side of kitchen… just saying
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The paper plate, also was handy as a towel was across the kitchen 🙄

Day 15
Had to reach the bottom of an old flashlight tube for some rusty preservation... I mean... rust prevention. Used the wire cutters to cut some cotton buts in half...

No to the MP600!

I will clarify, and admit I do not have the MP600, but do have a Diesel (same platform) and a MP400, the little version of a 600.

To me the downside of the MP600 is that you must deploy the pliers any time you want to deploy another tool and then again to return that implement back into the handle.  Now if you like flicking the pliers out of the handles like fidgeting  or other ticks, I find it annoying.

Center drive by Gerber, could be an option if you want to try the Gerber (Fiskar) brand.

Just saying !🙄🥺🤪

Day 15

We're at the mid point of the challenge  :woohoo:  Lots and lots of great pics and stories have been posted already, so I can't wait to see what the 2nd half brings  :tu:

I have to admit that I'm getting a little tired of the OHT.  It's just too big and bulky for pocket carry  :td:  I'll have to search for a pocket clip of some sort.

If you liked your mod'ed '400, you'll enjoy the '600; an easier to mod platform, relatively cheap, two (common) heads to choose from: either blunt or needle nose (if all planets align and you summon the moon rightfuly, you could also get a fisherman's or cable cutter one). Many tools/implements to choose from...I like it a lot. One caveat, like LC stated, you do need to open and deploy the pliers to get to the implements ( not a deal breaker for me). So, after all this rambling, yes, get one!!! :like: :pok: :like: :pok:
