It's something how close the OHT is size wise to the Super Tool.  They have a completely different feel to them.

Very true!

Initial reaction is the  OHT is smaller,  and  less bulky.

In reality, they are the same thickness,  but the OHT I thick is only slightly lighter.   Where as the ST300 is stout with a bunch of potential in a tight package.
I will need to pull out the kitchen food scale🤪

Day 27

The OHT with some of my Opinel.  The one directly behind the OHT is my first one.  I bought it used to see what they were all about.  The former owner had re-profiled the end of the handle to be more rounded.  I instantly liked the Opinel and have since collected a few.

Only some of your Opinel's😵‍💫.

Amazing  beauty  is displayed.

Your first is a N08,  and the handle shape is liked and  similar to my Garden Model.

A handle reshape and finger groves are in my plans now for a N09.  My plan was foiled when both N09s received arrived with  nice wood grain patterns.  So, I now will have to order another. 🙄 maybe two more.

PS: FB, how did the Tung Oil application work on your wood scaled traditional models ?

I used the strap cutter just to use it.  Opening envelopes didn't go so well.

Nice Bucks!  😍  I have a Saunter that was supposed to be my go-to pocket knife, but I can't keep away from my Buck 303 for that role.

I understand, the 303, can just disappear in your pocket😉

For me, I  was moving away from daily carry of a112 Slim Select with pocket clip, before that a 110 in a belt sheath, before that a Emerson CQC-7 that was stolen from a job site when I left it near an install while assisted another tech to pull cable.

So, the Saunter, was/is good fit as is my CASE tribal locks. 😜

I had very similar experience.

It does cut paracord smoothly.

The Tung oil was applied to the wood of a fixed blade I own.  It works well.

I find envelopes are a little tricky to cut open smoothly sometimes. It needs a specific blade angle.

They are very nice!  Will fit a N06, 7 & 8 perfectly.
Designed for pocket carry, yet you can attach a lanyard to the RED LOOP for neck carry if desired,  or a  Nite Eze smS hook to attach to a pack or inside strap. Even a belt loop.
I use a S hook for my car keys.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

These two are my 2nd and third ones.
My first came as a promo offer on Christmas Day, free with an order iirc.   I thought worth it, even wrote a review on Opinel’s site. The other two reviews were bogus as those people thought they were getting a belt sheath. 🙄
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

It's definitely in the Super Tool neighborhood Gordon!  I have to say having all the tools available without having to open the tool up is nice!

It's the luck of the draw on the olive wood.  Sometimes it's nice and contrasty, sometimes not.  :dunno:

I agree 😉

The n08 I received as my first is beautiful just as the 6 OAK.

Then the two 09s received both beech, the Carbon must be finished in another line, its shellac  was darker, more yellow rich looking.   And the SS, Beech had a grain pattern or better described as a dot pattern. To nice for my plans to reshape.  So another will ordered for project.
