Fun is the aspect that makes the challenge fly along. Painless endeavor.
And I agree, an excellent group to associate with paying tribute to the under appreciated LM tool. ☺️
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 28

A project inspired by a query from McStitchy.☺️

The OHT assisted; cutting paracord, holding break away connectors as cord was coaxed into each connector 😵‍💫, and for helping tighten the knots and then Final Cut prior to melting the cord ends.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

A break away neck cord  for attaching a Opinel pocket sheath for adapting as a neck knife sheath. Light away and trail friendly when pockets are a premium or you wish your knife handy and not in a back or fanny pack😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

They are very nice!  Will fit a N06, 7 & 8 perfectly.
Designed for pocket carry, yet you can attach a lanyard to the RED LOOP for neck carry if desired,  or a  Nite Eze smS hook to attach to a pack or inside strap. Even a belt loop.
My adaptation for neck carry

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Actually very  comfortable as the Opinal N08 is so light.  The Garden knife is in the sheath, but regardless the model, it will take two hands to extract, or 1 hand and teeth😁

Just a couple of days to finish, and this challenge has proven itself not only for showing off what the OHT is capable of, but how practical it was; if only they've would have listened and added longer/larger tools ... I envisioned it as a really capable (and sturdier/tougher) competitor to the Skele RX, if they would have attached a similarly serrated blade to it, had it coated in "safety orange" ( my, how nice would it have looked with patina!) and leave the tools silver. But alas, I dreamt it a bit too late...

I use a S hook for my car keys.

These two are my 2nd and third ones.
My first came as a promo offer on Christmas Day, free with an order iirc.   I thought worth it, even wrote a review on Opinel’s site. The other two reviews were bogus as those people thought they were getting a belt sheath. 🙄

  That looks great! Thank you very much Sir  :hatsoff:  I'll have to get some myself.

Yes, it is my modern CANOE as I do like the spear point blade.

I didn't find the implements too short yet.
And otherwise there is the bit extender too.
And a serrated blade and a strap cutter.

Day 28
Used the pliers to fabricate a replacement for a missing retaining clip/spring on a sealing light.

And the OHO feature of the pliers came in handy on the ladder for the othe lights too...

The saw is the only tool I haven't used yet, and at this point I don't think I will find a use.   So here it is, looking pretty.  It seems a little short, but that's what I thought about the blade before I used it.

I had my reservations too. It is rather short.
But the two or three times I've used it it did work well at least.
