Same here. I filled up an old eye dropper with it. Cheap and easy to refill
I'd be surprised if Victorinox doesn't package food-grade mineral oil in these little bottles.

One of you kind folks recommended me a bottle of food safe mineral oil with lots of Japanese on the bottle. I'm not smart enough to read Japanese so I can't tell you what it's called. But it works well, didn't cost much, and came in a large bottle.

So, hooray for Japan!

Take a picture.  I read Japanese. Was it this one perhaps? KUROBARA 100% Pure Tsubaki Japanese Knife Maintenance Camellia Oil (3.4 oz)

My (admittedly rather limited) research led me to the same conclusion. At any rate, it's probably a lot more food safe than 3-In-1 oil. That stuff works well enough for me, but man alive, it reeks.

That's the one I got some time ago. I used it in awl my EDC rotation tools. I think I'm the one that mentioned it here. Glad to know others find it useful, too.

  :tu:

I have some steel martial arts prop swords and I've been meaning to get some oil to keep them from rusting. I decided to try the camellia oil.  I bought the 3.4 oz bottle on Amazon for less than 9 bux.

That and the occasional bourbon and water should keep me well oiled!

KPL knife lube makes great knife lube that bonds to the steel and liners to make it smoother and less wear and resistance

This lube "bonds to the steel" ?
IF that is true, then it's changing the chemical structure of the steel and I would not buy that if I were you.
Sounds like marketing BS to me. Just my opinion.

The tiny bottle of oil that Victorinox sells is a bit pricey but it has the advantage of a tiny, narrow spout designed specifically for oiling pocket knives.  The Kurobara product is cheap (on the order of half the price) and well-packaged (and you get 10 times more) but the spout is a much thicker tube.

KPL knife pivot lube appears to have a small applicator similar to the Vic product.

I just refill these with the various solvents, lubricants and oils that I frequently use: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S1S1HMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
