That is why I chose not to include myself, even though I was given a green light. My hybrid built by a fellow member and was a MTo GAW, is more tool than this Challenge was established😉

I understand, but we're honoring a gentleman who flew experimental airplanes.

DAY 06  :salute:

about to jump into a video chat with some friends- no uses as of yet so right now I'm just chilling with the 70s Director  8)

thinking after the challenge is over- I'm going to send this into Vic to get the scissors fixed as they are the single spring and I've no idea how to go about fixing them.

Circumstances this year keep me from enjoying an alcoholic beverage so unfortunately I'm having to recycle an older photo.

Day 7
I peeled an orange with my Exec again today, but other than that, I've been stuck at my desk doing paperwork, so I haven't had any other chances for use. Figured you guys may be sick of seeing another peeling picture. So I emptied my pockets for a picture. Carried the Super Tinker just because it's also 3-layer Thursday.

And if you are curious, here is the MTo link explaining my knife and how it is assembled by PA_Strunk how I came to have it  via a GAW  at the early stages of 2023.

Day 3:
I was looking through my post history and saw that I didn't post last Sunday on day 3. I had a puking kid, so I guess I got busy with that and forgot. Used the main blade that day to open a bag of bird seed.

Great to see you guys running this Challenge again this year. It's a great SAK and a nice tribute to the man. I've done it a couple of times in the past myself and it has been great fun proving that the Executive really is a versatile tool. I shall keep watching from the sidelines though I am mixing up my own Executive and a Christmas special Delemont through December.

Wow!  I’m way behind.

Day 06: No uses today. I cheated a bit and carried my Old Timer because I planned to eat an apple and I want to develop the patina on the carbon steel. Victorinox’s excellent stainless steel won’t take a patina.

Day 07: Not only is it the date when Gen. Yeager flew west and America’s entry into WWII, but it’s also my little sister’s birthday. Cue many, many jokes by myself over the years about “a date which will live in infamy”.

I hoisted a glass of lemonade in remembrance of Chuck Yeager, Pearl Harbor, and my sister’s birthday.

Another gloomy day here in my corner of this rock today.  Temp is hovering at around 60° with overcast skies and no sun.

On the plus side, the Pony Express rider made it here last night, after we took a couple of the grandkids to see the jolly fat man.  This was the first year that the two of them didn't cry.  Well, one of the items that came went right into my pocket along with Patch and they've become tight friends already.
[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Don't know how useful it's gonna be in the long haul but it's just something that I had to have.  New, non essential purchases will become rare after Friday when the Boss Lady retires on Friday after more than 40 years in the same field.
