DAY 5  I've got a bunch of personalized SAKs, but they all have other people's names.  My wife bought me this one with my name on it.  It rides in a Maxpedition pocket pouch with some other items I use regularly.

Day 4:
I fell asleep in my chair with my daughter last night and forgot to post this.

I ended up clipping this Alox to my flashlight because it has slipped out of my coin pocket multiple times already over the last few days. They are both carried in the same pocket anyways so it works out, and the flashlight is a pretty good anchor to keep it in place.

Day 5
The SD of the SwissLite had no problem to open the beer.

The advertisement on the knife refers to a Swiss  ski resort Adelboden where I got it as a gift with a ski pass several years back, probably in 2012.

Some more simple work.  Classic cut a paper grocery bag to make a template for fitting some trim to a window.

Lots of nice photos.  I like the Oldsmobile Classic.  Nice one Lefty.  Also the personalized one for Fireman.  Everytime I read one of MTSAK's posts I find myself wishing I had an orange.  For some reason.  A big shout out for Z.  I wondered if anybody would take the time to open a bottle with the SD tip.  Another nice photo, Jeff.  Don't you love those little scissors?  Best wishes.  G

some really great photos and uses everybody keep up the good work!  :tu: :tu:

used the classic Alox scissors to open some dog treats for Bella. If she could read she might try to convince me that it's a free country so she can have as many treats as she wants.

I have been loving this challenge, I wish I could have joined but I knew this month I needed more then the Classic.  Still I have been enjoying all the uses of one of my favorite SAKS.

Day 5

Somehow, I managed to peel this orange using only the small blade instead of a dedicated peeler tool. Challenges are... challenging, but the Classic handled it with aplomb.

DAY 6

Wife is getting her colours done (honestly didn't know that sort of thing existed!!!)

Anyway is a bring a salad sort of thing for after....so classic was put to work making another celeriac remoulade, which is a much easier task over swede and carrot prep.

The classic is looking a bit more used now, the plaster boarding work was hard on her and she has been sharpened 14 times in last 6 days and a wavey tip, plus noticed that there is no snap on shutting the blade.... following on from what Gary said about my classic, I thought I would compare and noticed that the back spring is much smaller on the older classic.

Looking forward to seeing what the classic looks like in 24 days time from now

Day 5 - late posting

Had automotive maintenance duties today, which involved topping off fluids. The little Classic made short work of it.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

DAY 6  Purple Classic (not SD) with someone else's name.  I think I got this in a package deal.  My wife carried Classics at work, but often lost them at the hospital.  To save money, I bought batches of them on eBay.

Day 6

The SwissLite - trusted travel companion.

I used the light in a dark alley - not super bright but it did the job (no pictures). The light is very convenient to use, especially if readilly available in the pocket (and not on your keys - I prefer it much more with just the lanyard, not attached to anything). Of course there is a light in your phone, but you have to unlock the phone, start the app, hold the phone - the scale led wins for me if you need  the light just for brief emergency.

:woohoo:Nasty weather outside so a maintenance day.  Blade was not dull.  A bit of stropping got the blade right and a drop of knife oil on the scissors finished the project.  Back in the pocket for the next adventure.  The prior photos are giving me ideas for these adventures.  After being under the LED shop lights, the stayglow was nice and bright.  Note the small traces of green honing compound on the scale.

Nice to see some stropping going on.  I used to strop my swivel knives (leather carving), but haven't done any stropping/ honing lately.  Until I got a Schrade hone last week.  So far I have used it on a kitchen knife and a couple of SAKs.  Works great.  Doesn't take off any metal as far as I can tell.
Took a little walk with the Classic this afternoon.  Classic wanted to climb a tree.  I said, "Okay, just don't get dirty."  Had a little mishap with the wee blue thing when I got home.  I don't think I cracked it.  Need to look more closely.  Best wishes.  G

To tell the truth, I just plain dropped it.  I looked the little blue thing over and nothing was cracked.  I bought two of the blue Classics at a Goodwill store.  Paid a dollar each.  They were probably bought together, carried at the same time by two family members maybe, and donated at the same time.  They were gunked up with black icky.  I don't know why in the world someone would carry a ball of roofing tar in their pockets.  They cleaned up well.  I don't think either was actually used.
I think these were the first Classics that I actually bought.  I have been given several.  And given away some.  So far I haven't paid more than a dollar for a 58mm.  I used to think of them as toy sized fingernail fixers, but they are strong.  Best wishes.  G

Got a few inches of snow today. Not a ton, but enough to make a snow man. The Classic is an excellent nose (it's even got a nose ring).

Day 6:
Took the kids to Missoula this afternoon to buy some fish for the fish tank we got them for Christmas. Used my Classic to snip off the tip of a zip lock to dump the formula into a bottle for Little Bit while Wifey took the two bigger kids in a store for a snack.

Does that colour actually look just like the picture? If so, it’s gorgeous.

Yes it does. It is mint green and one of my favorites!
