Day 15: B

Notiiced a random bag of hardware in an old quilt bag that had been in a junk cabinet alongside the batteries for who knows how long.  In the bag, I noticed my Westinghouse Alox Companion--once my go-to Classic for quite some time. I bought in 2019 according to an old post here, and it''s probably been missing for at least two years. I guess that I was cutting a package of hardware open, and then left it here.

The "W" logo is mark side

And the "Westinghouse" logo is pile side.

Nice lineup!

Day 15

No use today. Here's a thickness comparison. You really don't save much by losing the layer on the Escort, and the Tomo is less thick than it looks by itself.

can't believe we're already halfway through this challenge  :ahhh

some really great stuff so far- hats off to everyone! :hatsoff:

used the scissors to snip open some snacks and the nail file to smooth out a rough nail. This tiny classic has proven to be a mighty contender thus far.

Day 15

Got a little tailoring and recycling done today.  Used the scissors to clip a bit of fuzz from the sweater before it got worse.  Then turned my attention to a box that needed breaking down for recycling.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

DAY 16

So picture this scenario....

Wife - get rid of all those boxes and packaging from Christmas that has been hanging around....

Me - okay ( with the silly idea of using the classic to break down the boxes)

So with that in mind I start breaking down the boxes with the classic and there are a lot of boxes (not just from Christmas). The classic is as blunt as a butter knife, and I start ripping up the boxes, and then get fed up and start wheel barrowing everything outside to burn using the classic's fire lighting kit....all is going brilliantly and the fire is huge....then I hear a strange pop, a cracking, the smell is different....I am not burning just cardboard and paper

I get a big stick and start to pull the inferno apart, and found the source of the new smell....my wife's kindle fire 10

the classic consoled me, told me that is was not my fault....the wife on the other hand...

Burned your wife's kindle thing?  That's a relief.  I was halfway through the photo-essay and a chill ran down my back.  I thought for a second that you had BURNED YOUR CLASSIC!
Seriously when you said you were in deep doo doo yesterday, I thought..... Divorce, target of lawsuit, criminal charges, disease starting with third letter of alphabet, got caught cheating with cute redhead, parental custody hearing.  Burning a digital doo-hickey might be an improvement.  Cut the ties.  Sleep in a tent.  Wash out of a stream.  Precious is peeved about it now, but in ten years it will be a source for amused reflection.
Boring photo of coffee K-cup cutting.  I don't like coffee with funky flavoring, do you?  This one wasn't too bad.  Even if the name on the foil was misspelled.  Should be D-U-N-C-A-N.  Can nobody spel anymore?  Best wishes.  G

One of our long-time members likes to prop a SAK on a coffee cup and take a photo.  Might as well try it.  With a Bijou.  Little SAK had to stretch to make it across the cup of cowboy coffee.  Is that dark enough for you, coffee lovers?  I couldn't find my cowboy cup, so had to make do with a stoneware thing.  I broke almost all of my dishes several years ago.  I think that is the last cup in the house.
Coffee is pretty good.  Smells like strawberries.  The Bijou got all steamed up over it.  Best wishes.  G

DAY 16  It's supposed to be stormy and rainy today, so translucent blue seems appropriate to take to work.

I sure hope Bella doesn't get a boo boo on her little footsie from all the broken crockery.  Maybe the Santa socks will protect her.  What a temper.  Sheesh.  Best wishes. G

I don't remember breaking my cups.  So, I had a look see and found another cup.  Should be several more somewhere.....
I'm enjoying the photos here.  I never had a Tomo.  I don't know if I like them or not.  I would buy one if I found a good deal on one anyway.  I like the colors.  Best wishes.  G

Glad you were able to find another one, Gary. Who knows what else is hiding around there. Looks like the Kindle lived up to its name.  :pommel:

Day 16

I think I showed the other side of this knife earlier in the challenge. We gave them out to our wedding party, but kept a few for ourselves. My wife keeps this one on her keychain.

Sorry to hear about the kindle gra_farmer.  Maybe the wife will be more forgiving when you present her with a better one?

Gary, I can send you extra cups if you need some.  We have too many...

That's a good looking blue BP.

Day 16

Trying to do surgery on a ride on train for my nephew.  I don't think makers of this ride on train expected a nut job to take it apart to replace the motor.
