130mm challenge for January
on: December 14, 2023, 09:43:18 PM
would anyone be interested in doing a 130 mm challenge for January? Or maybe a Ranger challenge? A challenge including any of the Ranger models including 93 mm?

 :dunno:

I know this is kind of random but it would be great to get your thoughts and opinions.

I'm curious to carry this 130 mm Ranger wood that was a gift from my wife. i've yet to really give it a proper long-term carry and thought maybe others would want to carry a larger knife starting off 2024. definitely open to suggestions, thoughts and opinions!

Just added a Nite Ize Hip Clip to it. In my work pants, it seems to carry just fine, not intrusive.

I’ll carry it to work tomorrow and see how it does.

Very nice!  To be honest, I always like the Wenger models a bit better

Since you have Vic version can you measure bit it for me. What is measurement of scales from bottom to top. No need for exact measurement but roughly +-1mm. I wanna know does Victorinox and Wenger models have difference in measure. Wenger size is roughly 127mm on scales and if change top point to top of keyring size is roughly 130mm

I'm a maybe

I have a Boatsman, which is... questionable for EDC, but that's part of the point. If the Opi challenge doesn't go in January, I'll probably jump in.

Fun fact if overall size would be measured from scales all 130mm would be 120mm

it doesn't seem like there's that much interest in doing 130 mm challenge and ive also just realized that in February is 100/108mm challenge which is pretty similar so I think I'm gonna scrap this idea. my bad.

After doing two minimal challenges back to back (the minichamp and Chuck Yeager) now I'm thinking it might be interesting to do the ultimate minimalist challenge!
