DAY 19

A bit of hinge adjustment on a newly installed front door. The D/F handled it admirably  ;)
They don't like it up 'em!

Day 20.

Took the day off to start a painting project for my son’s room. Used the CD to remove the switch and outlet plates and drop a light fixture so I could tape it off with some painters tape. Got the primer coat on.

The Center Drive is a carpenter's and handyman's perfect tool.  That bit driver is so good!  Having an easily accessible blade doesn't hurt either.

:iagree: On this painting project it has been very useful. I really enjoy the one had deployment on the bit driver. No stopping to insert a dit driver. Just deploy and got to town. The knife blade I mainly use as a scraper, but it occasionally cuts stuff. Just need to remember to sharpen it this coming weekend. I am still struggling with the spring loaded pliers. It has been the one feature after all this time with the CD that I still have a hard time getting use to.

WDT '24 Day 20
I discovered the problem with trying to use the DF and the CD interchangeably in this challenge when I nearly broke my wrist this evening trying inadvertently to flick out the pliers on the DF

I understand that David.  I hope you're feeling better soon!  Cold snap here today too, 16 degrees F.  Been cold here the last couple of days.

I'll make it @Barry Rowland. It hasn't been too cold this winter but colder than the last few.

Day 21: Finally got to use the cat's paw for prying.  It does a great job!  Besides the bit driver, this is the coolest tool on the CD in my opinion.

Powernoodle Day 21

I used this scraper thing on the Center Drive to clean Mrs. Powernoodle's shoes.

The cap lifter on the Armbar Slim would have worked nicely as a scraper too.

WDT '24 Day 21
I do like the Center Drive pry tool but it sure does take up a lot of real estate. By comparison the pry tool/chisel/scraper in a Vic Spirit is only a little wider than a standard blade.  The pry tool/chisel/scraper in the Dual Force is ok, I guess, and massive to match the rest of the DF, but it has these funny shallow grooves cut into it, which I can barely feel, that makes it look almost like a file. It might actually have been useful as a file if only Gerber had cut the grooves a little deeper and got the heat treat just right to properly harden it.

:iagree: It leaves little room for anything else.  I saw a modder on YouTube remove the pry tool and replace it with a can opener from the MP600.  It's been awhile, so I can't remember what else he put in the freed up space.  It definitely is big for what it's worth..
The Gerber file is okay, but I like the Leatherman and Vic versions a lot more!

Day 22: Coming down the home stretch.  I used the pliers to pull out the ash bin from my pellet stove.  It gets it done every time!  About the only complaint I have with the CD pliers are the girth.  It makes it difficult to get a grip on some things.  For example, I wish I had modded mine to a blunt nose configuration when the battery in my car went kaput.  I couldn't get into the terminal but with the CD pliers.  Luckily, a short walk into the station and I found a wrench that fit.  I was amazed we had one to be honest

WDT '24 Day 22
Late breakfast or early lunch hasn't been determined yet, but the CD blade was employed to cut it in half.
