They work perfectly fine on a Fender.  The sold body doesn't make it any less accurate.
I hadn't considered that the solid body could affect a tuner. I was thinking more that the shape of a Fender's headstock would give less surface area for the Snark to grab on to.

Remembering to move all my gear back into the pockets they live in.
That's one reason I'm glad I slimmed down my carry: chances of finding that some of it got an unintentional bath are greatly reduced.

Cutting the tag off some new scrubs.
I couldn't at all see myself wearing scrubs, but if I did, they'd be Carhartts. :tu:

Another great day, y'awl!

Day 18

Another day, another radio set.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

This set has an alignment that is way off, and likely isn't worth repairing. So I might harvest the circuit boards out of  it. The Micra's small flathead is perfectly capable of doing that job.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I pictured my niece and nephew looking at this set in bewilderment. They might say, "It's a radio. Why does it have 'TV' written on it?"

Day Eighteen

Some poor people still believe Surge scissors are the best…

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

Suddenly - the hamster wheel in my head is spinning.

When I started my EDC journey a long time ago - high school - I carried those trauma shears that they used to sell that were marketed as being able to cut a penny in half https://sciplus.com/penny-cutting-power-utility-scissors-shears/

That didnt last long because I felt silly and started pocketing a knife.  (I used it at a barbecue and one of the other guests who was a doctor recognized them as trauma shears).

Fast forward to more recently, various companies make these shear based multitools.... and meanwhile the outdoor / backpacking contingent has been using childs safety scissors as a sharp tool of choice (2 blades with 90 degree spines etc)

And now..... I'm getting by with a scissors based multitool anyway....   :ahhh

Oh, no - the rounded end of the headstock is fine to stow the tuner and theres no issue with operating it from there either.  The problem is/was, as you can tell from my picture, that the clip will fall off eventually.

My clip broke.  I wrote to the company and they mailed me a replacement clip for free.  But now I see that after removing the remnants of the old one, I will break the socket if I try to install the new clip because the plastic has become brittle.  If only they made it out of cellidor,  :-\

Yeah I really love the Raptors.  I own both flavors of Raptor, and keep one in the vehicle and one at home.  I also bought an Ali Express homage (?!) of the Raptor for about $9, which is also very high quality.

No use today officially. But i did attach a mini LED and an electronic key fob to the included key ring. The key fob will come in handy since I have carrying the micra in my pocket and my keys in my backpack.  :ahhh

Powernoodle Day 19

I have always been a scissor snob, and loved the Victorinox scissors above all others.  Mostly for fine, detail work like cleaning up skin boo boos.  But the Micra scissors are superior for something like cutting up an old credit card or in this case an AAA card.  The Micra scissors worked well, and the MT body provides a better handle than you get with Victorinox scissors.  This is helpful when  you want to apply force to what you are cutting.

DAY 19

Another crazy expensive day, mother in-laws birthday meal....

But this morning I have been clearing an area of weeds with the Micra for the ducks holiday, while we are away....the small blade works well for cutting thistles... unfortunately forgot to take pictures, so I did pose photo of a small twig cut off a tree to hang the Micra while I was clearing the weeds.

If only they made it out of cellidor,  :-\
Cellidor would be a worthwhile upgrade. Even better: Micarta of G-10.

Had to cut some 550 cord, scissors did well.
Plain black? And I've found Micra scissors to be less than ideal for paracord.

Reading Farmer's and Eleven's discussion about guitars and tuners inspired today's post.
:like:

Sometimes you need a bigger ruler :-(
I'm guessing that's a very big Diesel engine?

Great stuff from awl, and speaking of the ruler...

Day 19

I finally got some ruler use in.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

With very few exceptions, I consider a piece of paracord less than six inches long to be unusable scrap. The Micra, as seen in the photo, measures five inches long. That was confirmed with help from a machinist's scale. So the paracord piece next to the Micra in the photo was dealt with appropriately.

Day 19

A new CASE arrived last night !  Did not open and inspect till this morning.

The Micra blade did open the package, slicing along a dotted line😉

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I must admit, the MICRA is a great MT solution without pliers.  And I used mine regularly 6 years ago.

Unfortunately for me, arthritis has take a toll, effecting my feeling and dexterity of my hands.

I depend often on a plier to do some of my work requiring my eyes to monitor what is happening. A REBAR or PST is always within reach.  Along with a larger blade as backup.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day 18 of 30:
Had a bunch of family here for the weekend to see my oldeat daughter's gymnastics show. While cleaning up the house, I decided to clean up the wall heater in the bathroom. Used the Philips driver to take out the screws for the grate.
