Won a cool little lot on ebay:
on: July 13, 2007, 04:35:54 AM

$39 shipped.  I'm probably more interested in the sheath more than anything, but I could always use another mini mag, and an old Leatherman to inspect :multi:

A Super Tool, nice!

I haven't seen that sheath before...I wonder if it is original Leatherman?

Nice find- I think I paid close to that for a SuperTool alone!

Here's a little trick I learned early in my collecting years - when ever I send a knife, tool, etc back for repair I "ALWAYS" ask if they have an old / used sheath laying around they could send back with my repaired item .... I got this gem back with an original WAVE that I sent off for repair last year @ no charge...

Does not work all the time but it doesn't hurt to ask ....

Why do I carry a 45 ?
Because they don't make a 46 !

Does the back of the sheath say mag and have a horsehead symbol on it?  If so I believe I have one like it I traded a leather Wave sheath for.

I contacted the seller and he responded that MAG was stamped/printed on the back, so it's probably the same as yours.  Was it pretty sturdy?

It is pretty sturdy and has snaps so you can take on  and off a belt without having to take your belt off.  I think you will like it.

Received them today...it's black oxide!  I coulden't really tell from the pictures.  Everything was covered in what looks like drywall powder :o

The Super Tool was used hard but still has lots of life to it...the plier heads are firm and all the tools snap out nice and tight.

The Mag is...well a used Mag, you can't kill them!  The rubber anti roll thing is great, as is the red filter.

The sheath is great; made by Mag Light!  It must have come out in the early 90's when the Leatherman tools were taking off.  The pocket where the tool goes is a great size...It fits my SOG and a Buck 110 perfectly (not at the same time though :twak:

I like that style shealth better then the new ones leatherman has now.
The way the belt loop is on the back of that sheath makes it ride on the belt a little lower.

I just checked:

06/96 and 09/96

An 11 year old tool and I'd feel comfortable carrying it.  You apparently can't kill a Leatherman...even the rusted and corroded one Spoonrobot got became useable again after some cleaning.

Well, since there is a 25 year guarantee on them I hope they'd last at least 11 years!  :pok:
