Day 7: I’m slowly catching up here. This afternoon allowed me to tighten a couple of doorknobs, but that was about it.

Good use of the hook! Celery is most definitely not my thing, though.

Another great day, y'awl!

Obviously the large blade got the job done, but I find the can opener to be an outstanding tool for removing staples.

Excellent comment.  I had not thought about that tool for staples.  Now I know.
Thanks

I went retro today, with an older style model Explorer, with the classic red handle scales. Unfortunately, I didn’t have occasion to use it.

After many years of intermittent use my homemade dangler made from aluminum fence tie wire finally broke so I improvised, adapted, and overcame by re-bending the remaining fence tie wire and adding a carabiner.

Day 9 was a ton of package opening. I received in a box of fragile items that were enclosed in bubble wrap, and then wrapped in layers of clear plastic tape. Real precision work to cut my way into the items, without nicking them.

Doing a wood working project and got a splinter.  What to do?  Oh, yeah!  Reached into my pocket, pulled out the Explorer, and got the splinter out.  Thanks, Victorinox.

Hook to carry the grocery bags in.
Yesterday I had a walk that took about 20 minutes. I was carrying a shopping bag that contained a small bag of dog food. It made me wish I had an SAK with the hook (or a car that was safe to drive).
