No way, if I had a 100 of them it wouldn't be too much!  If I ever win the lottery I'm buying tons of them!  :gimme:

They are awesome!  A super bright LED, but I don't like the little recharging piece that comes with it. I lost mine, so I don't know what I'm going to do when the batteries die!  ::)  I guess I could buy another one and use the charger for both lights. Beside that, I highly recommend it!  :tu:

It's a leather coin bag. You squeeze it and it pops open to get to the coins. Mines kinda beat up but still working good.

My EDC setup stays pretty much the same other than switching out a knife, flashlight, and mulit-tool from time to time. I haven't changed my keychain in a while and have been carrying the modified Zebra F-701 pen for a long time. I can't seem to not carry the SureFire E2L because I love it's great balance between runtime, output, and  throwing ability with a really simple UI. Plus I like being able to clip it to my hat if need be.  I really like the Ronson jet lite lighter am happy with my choice of wallet. I only wish my RA Clicky would come back from repair so I could carry it. :( Here is another set up I been going to lately and had on me today.

I really like it. It really has an amazing quality beam for EDC use. I wish the pocket clip had a bezel up carry option. It would make a great headlamp if you could clip it to your hat bill. I have seen some guys have taken the bezel ring off and installed the clip there but for the life of me I can't get the darn thing off. >:(

I always wanted to get a tritium watch since to me any GID dotted is worthless, they need light to glow, and if I had light to make it glow I wouldn't need it to glow to begin with. Like marathon GSAR, but really expensive.  :(

Old photo I know (apologies) so please swap the locking Surge for a non locking Pocket Plier and a Spyderco UKPK.

(I just notice there is a lot here that has changed.  Give me a moment and I will get my current load)

I agree! Mine was 2 bucks at a shop we stopped in at once on an out of town bike trip. I had seen them before, but had not purchased one. For 2 dollars I couldn't resist. I have used it many times, and I really like it.

I admit that it is a compulsion and not necessarily... uhm... 100% necessary... to walk around with all of that. I could leave some of the tools in the truck (I used to have a truck based full tool set for the job), but I find it easier just to walk in with whatever I may need on a job site or estimate. I am not asked to do any real involved install work anymore, just little tweaks and such.

I could ditch the "entertainment value" items, but I sat and rolled dice while waiting on a client just this past Wednesday, and I was almost sad when he arrived. It was pleasant to sit in the lobby and be ignored for a while without being bored.

The survival kit is the hardest stuff for me to ditch though, and while it really sees no daily use, it is the portion of my kit that tends to swell out of proportion to necessity if I allow it. I just can't shake the "what if" conversation in my head. If I dropped it out of the bag, that would be the day I get stranded out in the middle of nowhere somehow. That's how it goes in my addled brain anyway.

Things like the TP and the electronics are absolutely necessary.. I travel around for the job a lot, and music.. email... phone... GPS... and wipe... are things I could not do well without.

Honestly, I have found that when I remove all of the stuff I probably don't truly need, I still am left with far too much to pocket and belt carry comfortably. So a bag is needed even for the truly ED items. It all fits compactly into the bag and I have it on my shoulder anyway, so why not add some fun items and some OCD stuff to calm and pacify my preparedness urge?

 :D

I think the Jumbo is great, but too big even for me to EDC. If I buy a bigger bag so that I have space for daily incidentals and things I may pick up, I just wind up steadily filling it up over time. The Fatboy has just enough real estate to keep me happy, but also restrained.

The Smith's sharpener is great for the size, price, etc. But it truly is no substitute for a proper stone. Nice to have though when your blade slips and you flatten the edge. I did that the other day and the Smith's thingy had me back to sharp right there on the spot. That was nice.

You guys have me EDCing more of my small tools daily than I did before coming here though. This has been a good thing as I have needed them recently a lot more often, but... you are still a bunch of smurfs.  :D

Quick question... that bag that says "FAK" says "AFF" on the other side right?   :pok:

And, with all that stuff strapped to you, who needs to go to the gym?  :D
