Fire, cook with me: badge request
on: May 12, 2024, 10:07:40 PM
I have had this grill for a long time and only recently realized what an amazing piece of kit it is. It really takes the struggle out of using cast iron on a fire, and allows easy grilling too.  I made the last 3 meals with it, but unfortunately did not take a snap of the steak/corn/potato meal, which is a bit of a bummer as it looked the best. But here are some pictures of breakfast and lunch. I was rushing the dogs because literally 2 minutes later a storm ripped through. If I can dig down and find an ember I may do dinner again.

Mmmm.  Now that's a breakfast.  Might even be enough for two people.  Looks like there is plenty of room on the right side of the grill for doing dogs or other things that might slip through the grate on the other side.  Best wishes.  G

Looks good!

I've made meatloaf outdoors, cooked over mesquite.  My family thought it was the best meatloaf they had ever eaten.  I've even done some of those cheap frozen pizza on my Weber over oak and it gave it a bit of that wood fired taste to it.

That is an absolutely fantastic-looking meal. Congratulations on the badge! I'd ask for one, but I'm not sure if cooking outdoors is a wise idea in my neck of the woods.

Some days are like that. Forgetting things and having to go back is maybe my least favorite. Thanks for the badge!

Maybe sometime soon!
