I finally remembered to look up Fraz Labs. They sure are spendy, but being made in the States is a huge bonus. I'll pick up one or two of them when I get a little more money in my coffers.

Beam shots are still in the works. Maybe I'll do that, instead of going back to sleep, if I am awakened by a yowling cat.

More great stuff, y'awl! :2tu:

I can see why one would want a colored light since it maybe easier to find than a translucent light.  But that performance does suffer quite noticeable, especially if the translucent body is also a GITD body.
Exactly.  They do memtion on the website that the body color effects the side light color.  It is one of those where if your main purpose is just to use the main light then the body coloring is cool looking.  But if you have plans to use the side light functions then the transluscent (which comes in white and amber) is the way to go.

I think the ideal case is as a backup in a bag, glovebox, etc. to complement another RoryVon that you EDC. You can store it with the AAA rubber banded on or in a ziplock so you have it if the LiPo dies, and then your backup light has similar features and controls to your primary.

Those are spiffy.

Day 22

Angel Eyes came on in my pocket today, something that didn't happen with the Aurora at all in the longer time I carried it. Could've just been bad luck, or the bigger size might make it more likely to get wedged against something the right way. Will continue pocket carry for at least a bit longer and check back.
It does have a lock out function (4 clicks of top button while off) if the coming on in pocket becomes an issue.

Went to the oulaws this weekend and we didn't have a reliable network connection so I had to wait till we got home to post.  Picture dump proceeding.  :D

Day 21

I forgot that I had my little Swisslight.  It's a shelf queen now.

Day 22

Forgot I had these lying around.  These are the key chain LEDs I handed out to the kids during Halloween so they could put them in their jack-o-lanterns and be seen as they're walking in the street.   Gave away various colors.  They were pretty bright for what they were.

Day 24

Coast HP1, Coast G19, and my Coast multi-tool.
The LED is just a couple of lumens. About a decade old, and it still turns on, though it looks dimmer than I remember. Their lights are better than their multi-tools.

Haven't used it long enough to give an definitive answer, but I would imagine it is exactly how I imagine it to be--an overbuilt, robust AA with no nonsense.  Pretty awesome!

Living in these days and age, I think a flashlight with power bank function do make a lot of sense.  I think I may have a few that does that, and would love to hear more about different options if anyone has them.

Day 24

This is a pretty old Princeton Tec light I used to carry as a general in-house light.  Just a plain old 3 small leds with really long runtime and ultra light body, but there is beauty in the simplicity itself.  Since it is a polycarbonate body, it can be submersible for a short period of time too.

Not a great pic, but the sidelight was excellent for the "hold your phone in the air" portion of the dance party last night.

My Midnite Managers. The red has the weak red light, the white has the good white light. Kinda chunky, but the white is worth it.

🔦 DAY 24 🔦

thought I posted this yesterday but I guess I forgot.

Yesterday I carried the Manker striker mini with my FX and titanium embassy pen.  The murder bezel has other functions other than murdering lol when put down on the table it can be used as a lantern as seen in the picture below. awlso included a picture of the bezel screwed on in the reverse position. Great stuff so far everyone can't believe how fast this challenge is going by!  :ahhh

More great stuff, y'awl! :tu:

Warning: photo dump follows!

Sos24 recently sent me this Lumintop Nano Frog. :hatsoff: Here is is with a Gerber Multi-Lite.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I believe the Multi-Lite runs an incan bulb. Its output is weak. That could be due to the battery being on its last legs. Replacement is possible, but it's under the switch, and that little rubber piece is an absolute sod to get back in place.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The Nano Frog, thus far, has proven itself to be a pretty good keychain flashlight. It has three main levels of brightness, plus "moonlight" and "turbo." It's a little bigger than the Olight I1R2-EOS, but I like having a user-replaceable battery and the option to run different sizes. It will tail-stand when the 10440 battery is installed, but not with the 10180.

And now here are some beam shots of the Olight. Low is five lumens, and high is 150 lumens (if I recall correctly).

Here is a beam shot of the Streamlight Stylus Pro. Its LED has quite a yellowish cast in the photo. 90 lumens are usually more than enough for me.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

And the Nano Frog's "standard" modes. Outputs: 35/40 lumens (low), 175/200 lumens (medium), and 390/500 lumens (high).

And finally, the Nano Frog has two additional modes. Moonlight has an output of 1 or 1.5 lumens (with 10180 and 10440 cells, respectively). Turbo mode has an output of 600 or 750 lumens.

(Image removed from quote.)

Is that Tool forward or reverse clicky?  I have a Tool, i believe it to be a first gen.  It has been refinished, and has no marks on it.  It is reverse clicky.  I have been wondering about the 2.0 and 3.0, if they were changed to forward.  It is a cool light, the reverse is not bad, just not used to it.
