Day 03:

Boring office work so far. I used the can opener/small flat driver to remove a staple.

Best staple remover I've ever used, though.  :like:

Day 3/30: PioneerX - A Pocketful of Potential

The PioneerX hitched a ride in my pocket today, ready for action. While nothing called for its heroic intervention, it's comforting to know this little powerhouse is in my pocket.

Day 3:

Some light work with my Wenger soldier today. Cut up a bunch of cardboard and really dulled the blade. Will have to sharpen it tonight. Haha

Day 3:

Found an old, moldy ball in our woods. Used the pioneer to let the air out for the trash.

Thanks!

Yes indeed. My usage might be very light to nonexistent, but I like to think I'm prepared for most any cutting task that would present itself.

Some light work with my Wenger soldier today.
:like: What year is that beauty?

Another great day, y'awl! :tu:

Day 3

Today I'm showing a Pioneer with standard silver Alox scales. (I chose to make "Day 3" teal because silver and gray aren't options.) This Pioneer is likely from the early part of the 2000s. And today's prop is a Canadian five-cent piece. Canadian coins are a somewhat common sight in my neck of the woods.

Farmer X,

Not sure of the year. It has no date on the blade.

My guess is that it somehow missed the year stamp or was made in a year that they didn't get said stamp. Obviously I can't be bugged to do any research right now...nightly chores will have to be done soon.

After the Swiss army switched to the 111mm version of the soldier in 2008, victorinox stopped production of the alox version but Wenger carried on making the SI for several years (I don’t know when they stopped) but with undated blades.

DAY 4

Farmer to the rescue (like a more refined version of batman in sliver Spandex  :D )....my five year old went to the toilet herself, locked the door at ballet.....and could not unlock the door after she was finished (poor thing  :( )...the farmer alox heavy duty flat head screwdriver helped open the door  :megaslap:

I must admit not the photo I was planning to share for the day...

Just to note, picture was taken after I freed my little girl

Been there, done that.  SAKs should be standard issue for parents.

Completely agree, upon birth of any couples first born they should be given a SAK Classic.....I have forgotten how many times I have been at children's parties and uncut grapes are out....plus every other choking hazard you can imagine...

The UK is not knife friendly, so people look at me with a mixture of fear, confusion while thinking I am a nutter....while I furious cut grapes, sausages, etc.....i am trying to save their children's lives...!!!

I have also stopped children choking while their parents watch on smiling????

I completely agree, but I would go even further by saying SAKs should be standard issue for every 16 year old (or 8 year old?). Teach them to take responsibility and solve life’s little problems from an early age.  :salute:
