I'm guessing those are also 58mm? SAKs with aviation logos would be fun to collect (not that I need another subspecialty).
I will show one of those later in the challenge. Like you, I appreciate its simplicity.
Beer?

Another great day, y'awl! :tu:

Day 8

For my first showing of red in this challenge, I'll go with another Secretary. They were apparently produced with this logo for a fairly long time. The prop is a little wooden doll my sister gave us while she was in Japan. I forget what they're called, but apparently there is a whole slew of them. This one is the "September birthday" doll. (Both Mrs. FX and I were born in September...10 years, one day apart.)

The carrier black Alox Bantam got called up for duty: dealing appropriately with half of a page of an evil Brylane Home catalog.

More good Bantam use  :like: seems like a good little knife.  I wonder if it’s the 84mm size or the combo tool or both that makes it appealing?

That’s very nice of your sister to bring back a kokeshi doll.  We brought some back for family when we went and for our honeymoon. we were also given some by friends we stayed with in Japan.  Even the standard ones you can get as a souvenir are so very well made.  Supposed to bring good luck.  The set we were given as part of a wedding present are quite the works of art.

Cut a new parts bag open ( had some on hand… time for a new dryer I think!!) and installed the new switch. Buttoned everything back together and, voilà, we have heat in the dryer again!!

Few things as satisfying as a good DIY fix.  :gimme:

Day 9:

I cut up lemons today, for grilled cedar plank salmon. It was delicious.

How about some Alox scales with tweezer and toothpick slots.  I have 4 different builds going at the same time.

Battery replacement.

I recently found this birth year Wenger SI Soldier in a pretty good condition for sale, and could not resist!

How are you finding the Leatherman?
I just got it as well as a T4, so I haven’t had much use time.

What I have discovered is that the K4 tools require more thumb strength than the T4 and because of how much the K4 blade sticks out from the handle it can dig into your hand when using the tools.

DAY 10

In leadership training today.....it's okay, and realised that we have it right as an environmental team, encouraging the team and bottom up communication...

I am not happy, that I have lost 4 hours of productivity....so a picture of the mini champ holding the pages down of the course handbook....

Great job! :tu: I had to fix my washing machine a while back. The third drain pump we ordered was the one that worked...

Day 9 of 30
With an Executive?

That’s very nice of your sister to bring back a kokeshi doll.
It was driving me nuts that I couldn't remember the name. Thanks! And I think my fondness for the Bantam is because it's so slim and can handle probably at least 85% of my SAK needs.

I recently found this birth year Wenger SI Soldier in a pretty good condition for sale, and could not resist!
I don't blame you! A good affordable '78 continues to elude me.

Used my Pioneer to cut up a rag.
Are you sure that's not a Model 1961 Soldier? It's undeniably a cool SAK! :like:

More great stuff, y'awl! :tu:

Day 10

Here's the first of three Wengers I'll be showing (unless I add more): a silver Patriot with a logo and no key ring. It seems to have been carried very gently, if at all.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The day's prop is my Kaito SB-1059. A little more than a minute of fairly vigorously cranking its dynamo yielded just over 45 minutes of run time.

I swapped over to something interesting today, a custom black Cerakote pioneer with a pocket clip, and proceeded to open up a box with the awl.

Man I wish.  It's an 02 but still pretty cool and in very good condition.

Day 10

My Pioneer played the part of caffeine drinking buddy today again as instead of heading into the garage we did family stuff.  :tu:

That is pretty good for an emergency radio.
