The Voyageur cut some bandage to help in covering a rope burn on my leg
Ouch! Hope you're healing up well.

There is a model called the Walker that is the same as the My First Victorinox, but has a regular blade and it was only recently discontinued, may be able to find one.
Previous efforts were futile, but I'll look again.

I’ll never carry this one.
I don't blame you. What a beauty!

Well they say a picture saids a thousand words..
Don't feel too bad. I once went to put my gear in a clean pair of pants and...where is my knife? I looked all over hell and creation for it, and then remembered I'd made a run for provisions recently. Sure enough, I found it near the mount for the driver's seat.

Bunny Berry
Watch out. The bunny might abscond with Berry! :D

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 22

No action shots, as the phone was charging at the time. But I had to open a fresh bag of coconut flakes. Here's what I did with the previous bag's contents:

"Vegan 'bacon bits.'" They're no substitute for the real thing, but they're kinda good. I didn't have any liquid smoke, so I substituted a few shakes of chipotle powder. I'd like to try making sweet baked coconut, but I'd need suggestions for how to make it work.

Hope you get that sorted soon @gra_farmer! Would half a brick or a wire coat hanger get you one step further?

Day 23/30: Pioneer X - Scissors

Pioneer X is handy while doing the electrical work around the house.
Used the scissors on my Pioneer X to cut the ends of the zipties used to bind an extension cord.
Also used it to cut and strip some wires and assemble the extension cord.

I hope you locate them. And you have no idea how much I miss having a manual transmission...

My red Old Cross Pioneer.
The Old Cross on red scales is so good-looking! :like:

Used it to cut and strip some wires and assemble the extension cord.
You got that cord coiled up pretty nicely! :tu:

Yet another great day, y'awl!

Day 23

Here is the second of two blue Alox SAKs I own, a Bantam from Swiss Knife Shop.

Today's prop is my PC's keyboard. I'll have to browse MTo on the PC more often, and maybe get a tower PC some day.

Day 22:

More flower-trimming with the modded Pioneer X.

It’s not a huge change, but I absolutely love the ergonomic improvement that resulted from swapping the scissors out. Now the nail nick location matches the muscle memory that I’ve developed using 91mm SAK scissors.

It’s exactly where my fingers and brain expect it to be. It’s also easier to access because the gap between the scissors and main blade is larger than the gap between scissors and can opener (just like on a 91mm SAK). Makes you wonder why the heck Victorinox moved the nail nick to the wrong side for the 93mm SAKs. :dunno:

Day 23 bonus:

I got the wild idea to add the inside scraper edge to Berry’s cap lifter. Idk why, after 12 years of carrying pioneers without one, I don’t think I need it, but seemed like the thing to do at the time. Came out ok, I think.

The Woodchipper mostly sat in my pocket today, but I did get to use the cap lifter to pry open a can of wood stain.

Nice job

Day 22

Went ahead and took apart the Pioneer X limited edition to add a saw and make it a Farmer X with limited edition scales.  Acid Etched the tools and brass washed them as well.  Finished a Pioneer with Acid Etched tools in silver alox (still need to sharpen the blade).  Also working on a Tinker with G10 liners, micarta scales and Acid Etched and brass washed tools.
