  MTO Anniversary Challenge event. My old granny knew more sayings and little things that were either mandatory or taboo than anyone I knew. One reminder we all got every year was the onset of Dog Days.
    I just checked my calendar and Dog Days begin July 3. So...... July 3 is Dog Day on the challenge.
     Everyone take a photo of Mr. Friendly or Rex or Cuddles and post it. If all you have is a dog substitute, then post that.

Weedwacked for an hour while it is still cool. Took Trooper along. Naturally. The grooves in the annoying photo are ant roads. Partially exposed but mostly underground.  Later in the year they pick up little cones grom the junipers and roof their tunnels with them.

Is the  MTO Anniversary Badge resigned each year?  I have the badge from 2017 iirc?
It would be neat if it was imprinted with year of completion.  We know always July😎

   Well drat!  I didn't think anybody else was going to join so I sent the winner's prize back to the dealership. Don't worry I still have lots of ants left. I'm not sure I can send any to the UK however.
    Actually the reward was always to be a participant in the Follow The Leader game. It will take place every 5 days of the challenge, beginning with Day 5. I will do Day 5 so everyone can see how it works. I pick the next Leader. I picked powernoodle already. He will do the Day 10 game then pass along leadership to whoever he chooses for Day 15. More details later.

  Fun is where it's at, Montana. If nobody picks you to play a part, I will make a special day for you to be Leader.
   Every five days the new Leader will get to say what everyone will post and/or carry. Then they will hand off to the next Leader.
    MTO Follow The Leader game. If Leader X says to post/carry a watch, carry pouch, flashlight and a Case folder, then that is what everyone will post up. As close as possible. No Case? Post a SAK.
     No one is required to play. Of course. Anyone who doesn't just misses out on some of the fun. I will post my guidelines for Day 5 in a few days. I will make sure everyone has time to gather things up for their contribution. Best wishes. G

     I have been posting the details of the MTO Follow The Leader game in bits. I will post the suggestion for the first round. That is Day 5. Until then post anything goes. Day 5 you will follow my lead. If you choose. Then it is back to post and carry anything you choose until powernoodle makes his suggestion for Day 10. Day 10 we all follow his lead. Day 11 it is business as normal until Day 15 when whoever powernoodle chooses takes over for that day.
     No surprises. New guidelines should be posted by the Leader at least two days in advance.  Best wishes. G

     Shouldn't be a problem, Pit. Post and/or carry what the Leader says every five days. Leader will announce a couple of days early so everyone can prepare.
      Nothing mandatory. Play if you feel like it. First game will be July 3 Dog Day. Post your multi photos and at least one dog photo. No dog? Cats, toy dogs, other dog substitutes accepted.
