 I know the feeling Gordon.  32 years with only a Huntsman, then I find MTO
Day 2

My first MT a WAVE (2nd gen)  in 2004, a gift from my oldest son, who had give one to each of his groomsman for his wedding.  Mine is not engraved has the gifts, yet very special and it lives in my office.

But, moving forward a few years I transition from a Senior Managing job that I worked for 35 years to construction laborer servicing and installing parking control equipment , car parks in Europe!

So, I buy  (2016) my FIRST Leatherman, a half price markdown at LOWES, a SUPERTOOL 300, and my journey begins.

[ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]

This tools serves me well yet today, but, 🤪 it has since that day in 2016, been joined by many more Leatherman, Victorinox Spirits.  And SAKs and also a few traditional pocket knives 😉.  AWL occurred with the members here who have served as ambassadors (enables) of MultiTool.org     Beware😳

Hello Awl on day 2
My day 2 pic is the Supertool 200 which resides on my work desk.
A neat piece of MT in my opinion.

I do like the look of that. What tools and blades does it have?

I’ve got one of the big locking Victorinox knives. A Rucksack, I think? I’d carry it more if I locking blades were legal for EDC in the UK.

It has lockIng main blade, Phillips 0/1 long, phillips 2, large cap lifter/screwdriver that locks, can opener/driver tip as with other SAKs, pliers with crimper....really more small stuff vs a full size MT, scissors, file, huge saw, awl/reamer punch on back side, cork screw, eye glass screw driver and the tweezers and toothpick.

Day 2

Since most of you are Victorinox fans, today's pic is the 2 SAKs I carry on a semi-regular basis - an Explorer and an Ambassador.

I used to carry a Super Tinker, but I found the Phillips on the Super Tinker awkward to use.  The Explorer was only one layer thicker, and it had the inline Phillips that I wanted.  It also allowed me to carry a micro-sized Phillips which I use regularly on small electronic devices.  I bought the micarta scales on Etsy.  This is the multitool that I carry when going to places that might frown on big scary knives.

The Ambassador might be my favorite Vic.  It's so thin and light, that it disappears in pockets of even dress slacks.  Even my beloved Micra doesn't do that.

Day 2

Here is my typical grab and go setup....missing is a small flashlight...typically an Olight i3. I also usually have a small roll of electrical tape and some duct tape on a card and this reminded me to add the back into the kit along with more zip ties since I used several on a recent project...The knives/Spirit or other MT is pocket carry and the rest I throw in my car or bag if traveling. Add a hammer and tape measure(not shown) and I can get lots of things done with this small set up. I really like the LM bags and they hold a surprising amount of gear.

Well, I finished my testing.  You can go back to paying attention, or ignoring as you please.

Just a reminder.  Dog Day is July 3.  Be there, or be in the dog house.  Best wishes.  G

Day 1
Falls on my day off, that means house work.
The wife asked me to clean under my side of the bed....
Guess what I found

Reminds me of someone I knew who found dynamite under his bed. Hidden there by his brother who couldn't sleep with it under his own bed...  ::)

I hope that is yours...  :D

This is definitely shaping up to be an awesome challenge.  Gonna take me extra time to keep up on all the postings.
It's going to be difficult, for me, to not have any constraints other than trying to keep up with followin' the leader days.    With that in mind I thought that a nice Stockman would be nice.  I almost always carry one of the large size with me.  This one is a Valley Forge (by Frost) that's right at 4.5 inches.  Pretty cheap knife but I love it.

I didn't think you were old enough to remember the old TV show 'Queen for a Day'.  It was a pitiful show actually.  The only way to win it was to act completely destitute.  Then Jack Bailey would have them bring you a crown and some prizes.  Show is probably still on the internet.  Nothing ever dies anymore.
Lots of nice photos from everyone.  Just a word about the Follow the Leader game.  I set the parameters for the first installment.  After that friend powernoodle will take over and after his turn will hand off the next stage to whoever he sees fit.  Doing it every five days means there will be only 6 mini-challenges or games.  I don't have anything to do with them after the first one.  I might sneak in one surprise chapter to the game.  Depends.  Best wishes.  G

Day 1

Both the Super Tinker and the G-Shock DW-5600E used to be regular users, but have been largely retired due to their sentimental value trumping their utility value.

Day 2
A partial pocket dump.
I pulled the big 3 out each of the organizers  so the were visable but didn't empty the back pockets.

-Trecker SAK, Splicing shears and lighter in my right pocket
-Rebar, Streamlight, notepad & pen in the left pocket
-Minichamp, Olight, compass on necklace

Not in pic: LM bit kit, Extender, Crescent 4in adj wrench, craftsman 1/4 wrench, tape measure, pocket caliper, CCW, and some small odds & ends.
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.
But for now I'm just a lost jack of trades with neither mastery nor home. ~NoaIsumi
