Day Two

Today was my ole Vic Swisstool model X . It's stout, well built and exudes quality. One thing though, you gotta have good nails to open the blade or scissors. I had a MX version Spirit that was OHO. Might need to pickup the OHO model of the Swisstool and try it out.

-Rebar, Streamlight, notepad & pen in the left pocket
-Minichamp, Olight, compass on necklace

Not in pic: LM bit kit, Extender, Crescent 4in adj wrench, craftsman 1/4 wrench, tape measure, pocket caliper, CCW, and some small odds & ends.

Opening with what I currently carry as my main, a Tinker Deluxe, alongside what my daughter carries as hers...
:like:

I bought 5 backups so I would always have one.
I'm gonna be like that with Alox Bantams...

Let me post a photo. Svord and SAK.
Fantastic photo! :tu:

My meagre effort is my only Nespresso (Dharkan) and a surprise purple Clematis...
That's hardly meager!

Keeping up with this challenge is a sub-challenge. Great work, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 2

It's been a while since I did a pocket dump. The photo shows just about everything I carry when leaving the house, save for sunglasses and phone. (Note that I generally don't consider consumables to be carry components.)

A Gerber Mullet. It would be a perfect little add-on to push you over a free shipping threshold. Just sayin.'

Day 2

I love this Nightize footlocker. As a guy who has too much stuff on his keychain, I've tried all kinds of combinations of rings and biners over the years. This one works the best. The little biners keep stuff from tangling, the big biner can clip on my belt if I want, and it's easy to clip on/off individual tools.

I have one of those also.  I keep my EDC pocket tools on it.

In honor of the dog days of summer here's our animals.
Clockwise from top left is Allee, we lost her last year, she was 15.  Next is my cat, Earl.  He was a father's day present 7 years ago.  Next to Earl is Dash.  My wife and daughter found him as a kitten 9 years ago.  Down from Dash is Allee with Corey and Tank.  We got them for our daughters    9 years ago also.   Which leaves us with Camo.  My youngest daughter brought him to us, 4 years ago, because her significant other didn't want him.  He was a cute puppy that's grown into a small horse.
Last pic is Tank, Corey and Camo.
Bringing up the center is one of the deer that browse the property along with one of the rabbits that stay out front.
No raccoons and the squirrels didn't want to be photographed.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Day 3. For lack of a dog I had to use my imagination. So the first one I've named "pigments of imagination". Yes, I know, it is an otter and not a dog. Forgive my imagination  :drink:

Continuing on my imagination the second one is my small 4 way screwdriver prototype in front of one of those gigantic 91mm Victorinox SAks.. All the drivers are in the center when open. They are also locking, and I'm pretty pleased with the mechanism for the locking system. These days the technology has advanced enough, so it is actually possible to make one that satisfied the official ISO hardness requirements for screwdriver tips.

Day 2

I wasn't a fan of carrying utility knives as they felt/looked too bulky for what they were, until I ran into this Gerber EAB.  I use this a lot more than I thought I would.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Day 3: my son's cuddly friend helped me out and was happy to pose with the OC Pioneer.  ;) However, I'm not gonna carry this one today because of its mint condition. I might use its modern cousin, the red Pioneer X, today.

DAY 3

Doggy day....my beloved cocker spaniel died 8 years ago, and have not gotten a dog since (I have two children since then and not really a proper home....so a bit difficult)....so my proxy is my children's dog toys....

.....the knives are the Manly Wasps, I try not to get more than one type of knife, but somehow ended up with three of these brilliant UK legal knives..... highly recommend, although the wife takes the piss....'do you feel Manly'....hmmm

And a bonus pic, showing the wasp and comrade....yes I have a few Manly knives....and yes I feel manly  :D

Day 3

Two separate photos for me today. I lost Crunchie to cancer at the end of May. The house feels very empty without him.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I’ve just finished a night shift carrying the closest thing I have to a Wave, my wife’s titanium Charge. Beautifully smooth action on the two blades, but I still prefer a Free tool for everyday carry. Using a BitLocker to carry the bit kit with it.

Day 3
STOP THAT HOWLING!  Why did I ever choose a dog substitute that howls?  Yes it is dog day here.  Not a whole lot of actual canines.  Lots of plush types.
Might need to post some tool photo.  Best wishes.  G

Last photo is not exactly a dog.  This is Ricky.  He is the son or possibly daughter of Racky and Rackeena.  Likes chicken bones.  Yummers.

Day 3 - assigned under challenge

My dogs awl became my wife’s dogs… and awl are now gone, part of new adventures 🥲

Since no dog, I do have a Frog, rhymes 😎

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

He is my guard FROG and today holding my first pocket knife I bought, when 8, (1961), a Trapper. Cleaned fish, rabbits, pheasants and also saw duty on the farm cutting bailer twine and opening grain bags etc.

The other knife is also older, a memory of my grandfather,  his working knife from the paper mill he worked in Parchment Michigan, 3rd trick.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

The Olight Oclip Rechargeable EDC Flashlight is a sweet little clip-on, 300 lumen multifunction light.  Clip it on your shirt or belt for an easy headlamp substitute.

Day 2

Sorry for being late.  This is a really busy month for me, but I will try my best to keep with everyone.

Since this is anything goes challenge, I figure I'd post something a little unusual that we often see for different challenges or discussion.  This particular one is a 3d printed fidget toy, which I often play with during online meetings.  There are small gearing sandwiched between the inner and outer ring, so both could rotate freely.
