Used the GilTek RUK for breaking down some boxes.  I really like that this comes in a lefty version.

Day 9

On the opposite end from yesterday, here's a cheapo pen that I got in bulk for gifts a couple years ago year. Pen, level, ruler, screwdriver, stylus. It's not a nice bespoke multi (and I don't know that I'd trust that level for anything important), but it sure does get a lot of work done for me and the people I've given them too.

I have some news to post: Tasky asked me to post on his behalf that he will be bowing out of the challenge. He is unable to find enough time to complete the challenge in a timely manner (life blocks). He apologizes for this.

I can definitely understand life blocks.

Day 9

This is my trusty Gerber MP600.  It too was my companion for many years while I was in the field.  It now sits in my desk for whenever I need something tougher than my SAKs.  Hasn't let me down yet.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Day 9
Day got away from me (15min left) so here is a quick snap of one of my display case shelves...part of a shelf anyway

*close side is cut off by a couple rows and far side isn't in focus.

DAY 10

Challenge day....

Damascus and Ti

Carbon fibre

Opinels

The star of the show is the knife research rasul....an amazing knife, in vanadas 21 (similar to M3) and an English mustard finish

The rasul is pretty much the perfect knife, the edge holds a razor edge for months of relatively hard use

Day 10: only have one piece with something titanium. This knife has been photographed to death online, but I still find it beautiful  :) I don't carry it due to legal restrictions (one handed opening is complicated in Germany to say the least), but I am still glad that I own it. I especially like the pivot design with the bushing, that's ingenious!

Day 10
Friend Tasky will be missed from the challenge.  But.... you gotta do what you gotta do.  I appreciate him sending notice instead of just disappearing.
Now for the Day 10 challenge.  There is some simulated Damascus and carbon fiber look-alike in this photo.  The Opinel in real.  A genuine Folder Beholder gift all the way from sunny CA.  I wonder if the Opinel planners ever thought about making a Damascus bladed, carbon fiber handled No.8?  Something with a rotary titanium locking gadget?
Best wishes.  G

Thanks ReamerPunch! It's a knife that is easy to photograph, it looks great from almost every angle  ;)

The carry laws are stupid, but I have to abide them. Lots of people don't and as a regular citizen there's only a 0.0001% chance that you get in trouble because of that. But I might lose my gun permit and my hunting license, so to me it's not worth the risk.

Yes, there's the CRK Impinda. But that's not a Sebenza  :D And I wont pay today's prices. I got my Small Sebenza in a local store with a little discount for 350 EUR probably 8 years ago. I've just checked online and German stores now want 519 EUR for it. It's still an awesome knife, but I won't spend that money anymore. I rather collect SAKs, that has been more fun for me  :climber:

Day 10

I don't have any titanium knives here.

Did clean the robovac today. Bit driver operated a screw which holds a brush in place. The pliers are perfect suited for.the removal of crap which wraps around the axes of the brushes.

Leatherman Charge and Benchmade Proper.  I don’t own any Damascus blades because markings, even engravings, on blades bother me in a weird OCD way.   :ahhh

Vic day today.
:like: 111mm models are sadly not represented in my collection. After I move, I'm gonna fix that.

I highly recommend it, especially if you just drink a cup at a time.
That is not me. A pot a day is pretty typical for me!

was really missing not having the red FX  yesterday so carried it today along with this red D4K that has the new FFL351A emitters in 1800K
Great use of red! :tu:

Here is a quick snap of one of my display case shelves...
 and please tell me the one with the Ford logo is not a Bantam.

This one is destined for a good friend across the pond (hope he likes it  :ahhh)
There is not a doubt in my mind that he will! :like:

More great stuff today, y'awl! :2tu: The rain that's pummeling the Farmer X homestead, on the other hand... :td:
