Day 11: I'm usually not a fan of keychain tools. Tried a AAA flashlight and a 58mm Victorinox Classic SD once. None lasted longer than a week or so. I just prefer my keys to be lightweight and as minimal as possible. This one however might work for me. Has been on my keys for more than a week now and I still don't mind it. Although I always carry an SAK, this tool can still be handy especially for Philips screws and for prying to save the SAK from scratches or other potential damage.

Day 11
I wonder if one of these tools has been on MTO before?  Ordinary and often seen Kick next to it.  I bought the thing on clearance at Walmart years ago.  The charger not the Leatherman.  Best wishes.  G

Day 11
Getting inspiration from the post above, I'm posting my keychain companion i.e. a victorinox belt clip where I hang my keys. It's a simple hunk of metal, is rugged and in case I'm running about I can secure the keys on my belt without fear of keys getting lost.

Day 11
Here is a tool that is well known by everyone here.  Being used to remove lint from an air filter housing.  The housing had about 50 small openings backed by a screen.  Did not have easy access to the back side to blow the lint out. Tweezers to the rescue.

Day 10

I don't have anything with carbon fiber, titanium, no opinel either. 😢  I'll post something different than what I normally carry tough.  I carried this Benchmade auto during my deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq.  It has been used so much, that the spring for the auto function has broken and been replaced 3 times.

Day 11: From a First World War mess kit that belonged to my wife's grandfather.  He wasn't a veteran, but picked it up for camping.  1917 vintage Rock Island Arsenal and still wicked sharp.

We're just chillin' in the office, writing reports and updating spreadsheets, when a coworker rolls in with his big, scary multitool, scaring the interns...

And here I am with my office-friendly multitool, coming in the clutch with my scissors, stapler, staple remover, hole punch, ballpoint pen, flat and Phillips screwdriver, tape measure, and paper clips.  I'm da real office hero

Day 11.

More slightly weird photo stuff. This is a tilt shift lens with added distance rings at the back. It is kind of a special lens. It lets you tilt the focus plane (normal lenses always keeo it parallell to sensor). Parallell lines in the motive can also be kept parallell in the photo despite going off in some distance. So these lenses are popular within architectual and product photography - although some go even further with big format camera and even better controls.

If you want to take a picture of a mirror seemingly head-on while not being the picture yourself this is the lens you need. It is also the lens for taking pictures making everything seem like doll house models. (Without photoshop filters).

The rings at the back lets you focus close-up (on any lens) and thus lets you take macro photos. And with the above extra control it is better at macro than my actual macro lens.

Well, gra.  What is the cute folder from Day 11?  Does it live in that padded case?  Everyone else probably knows what it is by sight.  Not me.  If they don't have red plastic handles, or are made by CASE then I don't recognize most things.
I wanted to tell late-comers Jeffjeeptj and M47mu74nt that we will be having another mini-challenge July 15.  New rules will be forth coming from our Leader.  Join in if you want.  Should be fun.
Seeing the Stihl folder brought a smile.  All the guys who worked outdoors carried those things around here.  The local Stihl dealer got them in only occasionally and everybody bought one to carry.  They sold out in a hurry.  I always saw the ones with regular knife blades.  Best wishes.  G

Day 11

Light carry for lunch in the city.

I’m not a huge fan of the Juice.I find it a bit fiddly and it’s the only tool that’s ever bitten me, but there’s no denying that the XE6 packs a LOT of tools into a small, pocket friendly package.

It sure does  :o   It's about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, so it's more of a box than a card.

Forgot to add this during the EDC roundup

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Just got back from the doctor's office picking up my free diabetic shoes.  Well,  free to me but I pay my heafty insurance bill and they buy my shoes.

Decided that I'd pull out my small carving kit.  It rides in an OtterBox case.  3 knives;  CASE SeaHorse Whittler, Frost Steel Warrior wharncliffe half whittler and a Rough Rider whittler.
Also in the case is a dental knife.  I remember someone posted one here some time ago asking about it.
Other doodads include some small files, handmade pin vice, thumb guards and a bandana for when I cut myself.

Day 11

Rebar in the kitchen.
Normally I use tooth picks to staple my sandwiches together before putting them in the airfryer, otherwise the convection fan blows toppings everywhere.
Unfortunately I am out of toothpicks, so had to cut down a bamboo skewer. Yes I could have used shears, but then the pieces fly off; with the wire cutters it cuts/crushes most of the way through and I can snap them off.
*And yes I do remove the little strands at the ends
I used to be a lot of things, and someday will again.
But for now I'm just a lost jack of trades with neither mastery nor home. ~NoaIsumi

I like it! Somewhere in my garage is a black plastic case with carving knives, other carving tools and basswood blocks in it. Though I have searched several times, I haven't seen it in a couple of years. Sad, cause I've had the urge to whittle something. It'll turn up one day I reckon.

If you complete something during the challenge, please share.

DAY 11

Evenin' awl  :salute:

A great variety and impressive array of EDC kit today  :tu:
This evening I couldn't find my flash designer reading glasses (courtesy of Mrs Surge  :twak:) so I had to dig out my work ones, these are the off the shelf type and cost me £15  :2tu:

I had to take several shots though, as I couldn't see if they were in focus without wearing them (this is the ongoing curse of ageing eyes  ::))

I also wouldn't have been able to type this post without them so it seems they really are EDC kit (certainly for work)
They don't like it up 'em!
