Leaders.  I was the first.  Then so more members could play the game, I handed off to powernoodle and stepped away from the whole thing.  No more input from me.  Noodle did his set of rules and handed off to whoever he chose completely independently.  Same with the next in line.  The next Leader gets to play their own hand, and then choose someone for the next stage.
It just so happens that I do know who the next couple of Leaders are.  I believe I mentioned who the next in line was in an earlier post.  Maybe we should let them be anonymous.  If they want to say who they are, that is up to them.
There will be one additional mini-challenge during the month that doesn't follow the 5 day cycle.
Look for a post about it on or about June 18.
Best wishes.  G

Sorry to hear that, LC.

Day 11

I know Vic mostly doesn't believe in marketing (I saw what I thought was a Vic ad in the wild the other day! But it was actually an REI one...), but I think more people should know about the Swisscard Nailcare. I've taken this thing on planes, cruise ships, and to every other kind of security, and it always gets through with minimal fuss. Fits in a wallet and gives you most of the tools on a Classic. For dropping the knife, you get a nicer file, a pen, magnifier, ruler, pin, and a 4-way driver like the old Craftsman keychain ones. You could awlso get one of the other card models  and just leave the blade at home. If you forget and have to TSA the knife, it's still cheaper to replace and you get to keep most of your tools. Awlso a great unscary starter multitool. I know a few people who would never carry A KNIFE who somehow developed a small collection after carrying one of these for a bit.

Day 11

Removed a splinter of wood with the tip of the can opener. It catches the wood which can then be pulled out with no problems.

Two guys in a cafe.
"I heard somethin happened to Willie.  You hear anything?"

"I seen where it happened.  Dang whole house just collapsed in on him.  It was awful.  Had to dig him out from under what must have been 8 or 10 tons of pocket knives and stuff.  Used a backhoe."

" Yeah, that collectin stuff can sure get the better of a man.  Should have stayed with somethin practical.  Like
     drinkin or gamblin maybe?"

"I heard that."

Day 11:
New wallet and new Leatherman today! Man, this Rebar is STIFF and DIRTY! left some kind of black oily residue all over my hands. Scrubbed it with the dish brush and Dawn and re-oiled it after it dried out in the sun. Now, to find a food leather sheath that will also hold a flashlight (Image removed from quote.)

Just some Armbars.  I think they get a lot more hate than they deserve over the non-locking screwdriver.  I have used them many times, and never had the screwdriver collapse when I was using it.  :tu:

Went through my desk to dig out my OG Super Tool.
While not as ergonomic as the newer MTs, this one's still strong as ever.

Day 12ish (?) I'll never be able to keep count to 30. Can I just make the rest 12 for simplicity?  ::)

A well pocketed Wenger Motorist with some of the more characteristic tools out. I got it as replacement for some other Wenger I had lost. The other Wenger had an awl instead of the corky thing, which I personally prefer, but this is a nice package too. The springs are giving up on it though - the knife can be opened and closed by a butterfly striking its wings in India. And the nail file is full of non-nail junk and doesn't file much anymore. And so on. But still going - just not strong.
"Simple is hard"
"Hard is hard too"
(Partial disclosure: I design tools for a living).

new axe arrived

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Sorry to hear your news.

I hope that it was peaceful and that you are taking care of you and yours.

I'm sure everyone will understand if you feel you need to bow out but some have said they welcome the distraction of posting (I did when my mother passed away last summer)

We're here for you regardless.

The screwdriver on my Armbar Drive does not bother me nearly as much as the subpar scissors.
