day 16

part 2 of my coffee daily drivers, though the less glamorous parts

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Looking good Dan and I'm with you on the combo tool.  It's so handy!
There is too much good stuff, and I'm feeling a little lazy, so no individual acknowledgements from me today. But y'awl are doing great. I love the old military stuff and the Matchbox Land Rover! :2tu: The coffee challenge won't be a problem for me, as I typically drink a pot a day.

Day 16

My tastes in SAKs have flip-flopped in the past three years or so. But one thing will remain constant: I'm unlikely to buy a 58mm that doesn't have the combo tool.

Today we'll take a look at Tatty Rally. If awl goes well, it'll be going off for a new blade before I celebrate my birthday. (It wouldn't even cut paper when I got it, and my efforts to sharpen the blade did not go well.)

It lives in this little Victorinox slip. The slip previously held Mrs. FX's "purse SAKs," but those are now forever safe queens.

I don't normally buy cheap multitools, but sometimes I'll buy one that piques my interest.  I saw a couple positive reviews on the Roxon KS2 Elite, so I decided to buy one.  Wow, what a surprise.  It is built surprisingly well, and I love that it has a one-hand opening D2 blade that locks  :tu:  The scissors are fantastic, and it even has a pocket clip!  It is cheap as a SAK, but better in so many ways.   :like:

This Casio CA53 is my daily driver. Gets a lot of positive comments. Replaced the plastic strap with a NATO band from the surprise box, which makes it much comfier.

 Day 17
I don't think there has been a power bank on this challenge yet.  Finally rained about a teacup full of water yesterday.  I haven't mowed in three weeks or so.  Nothing is growing but a few sprouts of trumpet vine that are springing up here and there.  One of them tunneled under the foundation and started a trumpet vine inside my house.  Sometimes I wonder if one of these things will garrote me outside my back door and pump out a fake green IMR in a pod.
Best wishes.  G

Day 17: the Spyderco UKPK is one of the few modern folders that I have multiple of. This one has been sitting unused in my collection and is now getting ready to get sold. Want to streamline my collection.... Still have one of the first G10 in foliage green, which was my first UKPK. These are quite popular here in Germany due to the carry laws (non-locking but still one handed opening). Great knife!

I usually don't carry a seperate blade, but it is definitely fun to do it once in a while.  Really do enjoy this Microtech, good balance and feels good in hand.

If there is anything I miss most about Wenger are certainly all the variety of tools they brought to the game, cool serrations on the Wenger!

Retro!  But do you actually still use the calculator function, or it is there more for sentimental value?
