Day 12:
Ran all day long, so here is a simple pic with a Fisher space pen and a UHMWPE soft shackle

Snack time! ...  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Farmer- He's my Mother's (since pets aren't allowed at her elderly home); I think he's a Min Schnauzer. And yes, that microwave paid itself waaay too loooong!

Lovin' all the pictures, people, pretty nice! :tu:

Here's the Lil' Fella', Ralph,  in it's "untamed" stage; it's been a while since his last form-groom haircut...    [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

@JonesE: Rich had the same question I did...what kind of whiskey?

@Sos24: are those Phillips or Torx?

@Cypren: that's one reason I hate moving!

@Juan el Boricua: what kind of dog? And you got your money's worth out of that microwave!

@Rich_SD: I might have to try that with the wire cutters...

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 11

I clipped the Signal to my sling bag. It definitely fits better there. Perhaps it would work on my uniform pants, but it's not a work multi, and carrying it in that manner is risky. That's dinged paint on a city vehicle waiting to happen.

Day 12
Setting up a cape tent.  In addition to the hammer work to push stakes in, the Signal’s carabiner works well pulling them out.

But when you do use the green Signal it is important to keep track of where you put it or you might lose it as shown in the 2nd picture.

@Rich_SD: the Signal was put there for the photo. Buy I probablywouldn't carry it there. If it decided to flip upward, it would give me a whack on the chin.

@Juan El Boricua: Ralph is a cool little dog! :like:

More great stuff, y'awl: :2tu:

Day 12 (late)

I was absolutely wiped out last night, thus the late post. I'm lagging with "pet janitorial services," and the phone with the photo wants its battery charged, thus the brevity.

Yesterday's neighborly help required a chain saw; the Signal's saw was too small to handle those stumps. But I'm hoping for some saw usage soon. It's likely the rain will have to let up before that happens.

Stunning photo, the color of your Signal is one of my preferred, it is becoming harder to find.
👍😎
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

The Signal will be accompanying me the hardware store to ge some curtain rods and light switches. The wife has asked for some that use Wi-Fi so you can use your phone to turn them on. We will see what they have.

@LoopCutter: :hatsoff:

@JonesE: Mrs. FX was quite fond of such things (we had Google Home devices). Me, not so much. I guess I'm more of a Clapper kinda guy. :D

@m47mu74nt: I should get my sewingmachine fired up. It's a good enough unit, but gettingthe thread started is tricky.

@Juan el Boricua: cool lamp! :tu:

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 13

Opening bags of cat food is another task that seems to work its way into every challenge I take on. Please excuse the oily boots and fugly linoleum.

The transformation is complete - that stupid can opener is gone  :woohoo:

It just barely fit... I would have liked to put a washer in between the 2 bit holders, but I couldn't even spare that little space.  They rub together with a little gritty feel, but they work great  :tu:

I'm just waiting for the next step, where Rich swaps the handles to get another pair of fold-out long blades and a second set of short tools.

As someone following along, seeing how different Rich's Signal winds up from the original model is the most exciting part of this challenge.

Day 14

Another day, another Signal mod.  Today, I put in new handles so I could add more tools.  It came out pretty good.   :tu:  The Signal is almost perfect now... although I might have to take that can opener back out.  Here it is:

Ha!  Just kidding.  My Signal is just setting next to my keys as I enjoy a do-nothing day.

Day 14

I got another Signal in. This challenge is getting expensive. I got the robins egg blue and black. If I drop this one on a trail,or hike I will not loose it.

The wife and I went over to Bainbridge Island today. We took the ferry over and had lunch at a little cafe. We then walked around for a bit and the wife did some shopping. We also took a quick walk over to visit another of the Thomas Dambo wooden troll sculpture at Sakai Park. This troll is named Pia the Peacekeeper and is one of five in the Puget Sound region. I think it is become a tradition of mine when I do a challenge to go visit one of the local trolls. Anyway, I find the artists work fascinating since he uses recycled wood in the making of the trolls.

@Rich_SD: your multi needs certainly differ from mine (I very rarely need the fine screwdriver, and I prefer my General 744 when I do). And a three-day weekend? Must be nice!

@Cypren: the pliers handled those pesky staples appropriately. I'd hate to think of what may have happened if they went through the planer.

@BPRoberts: is Rich planting ideas in your head? :D

@m47mu74nt: the little karambit looks interesting. What is it?

@JonesE: that troll is something else! Yoopers (residents of Michigan's Upper Peninsula) would call me a troll, as I live under the Mackinaw Bridge.

Another great day, y'awl! :2tu:

I use it on the tiny screws that are on/in electronic equipment and laptops.  My wife also has several light-up house decorations with a tiny screw holding the battery cover on.  I actually use the tiny Phillips head more often than the full-size flat head.  :tu:
