Errr I cannot add pictures via tap talk??? Can anyone recommend a different way?

Have pillaged an opinel photo from a past post...

DAY 15

The opinel collection, the strange handle shape on one of the number 8's is down to me trying to add a brass lanyard tube, the drill went off center, and just had to reshape....it turned out okay.

Being brought up on a farm, I rotated three one no 7, and two no 8, those three opinels were my only cutting blades for 6 years, and did everything with them.

Tapatalk isn't working properly since they did an update.  Use the mobile version of the forum and a resize app or imgur or postimage.org to host pics.

Some rope knives: Klein, Camillus, Kutmaster
Nice! I'd show my Camillus "mini rope knife" if I weren't doing the Scout sub-challenge.

It helped open a package containing a used but still very serviceable stainless PWII.
:woohoo:

A quality knife that has had a tough life (blade warped and attacked by a grinder at sometime in its life).
Too bad about the warp and grinder incident. But it still looks good. Horn covers?

More great stuff for today, y'awl! :2tu:

Day 16

Some gratuitous awl usage today. It took a while to get completely through the scrap of old belt, but it got the job done.

Day 15

A very nice way to celebrate the half way mark is surely with a new knife arriving.  :D  Arthur Wright custom piece; Senator pattern with Oak covers and Wharncliffe blade.

Ooh... I have never seen a pocket knife with oak covers that I have liked... until now

30 Scouts in 30 Days: Day 17

Pushing the envelope here a little. This Marbles Workman adds a Phillips driver. Probably the most logical next tool for a scout. Several classic companies marketed this configuration as a "deluxe" scout back in the day. Overall, not impressed. Despite adding a 3rd layer, this is actually the same size or thinner than most of the other Marbles scouts, meaning the tools all had to shrink down. Used it around the house a fair amount and the can opener was barely passable, the driver was awful. The awl was good though, nice and sharp. Wanted to like this one, but can't recommend it. Good candidate for their King Scout platform, I'd think. Beefier knife would give them space to do the tools justice.

As I use Tapa I was not able to open the forum for two days. Now checking through website and it works. Tapa has some problems.
So in order to catch up:
Day 15
Painting the walls in the house. Used Mikov to open the can with paint.

Day 16
After the whole day of painting I finally sat down and opened a bottle of drink to refresh myself.

I have no idea how to add photo via web browser in my mobile, so you need to trust me on that :( I need to figure it out.

Edit: trying using link from imgur but the whole process is very user unfriendly:(

For mobile, I use an app called Quickimgur to upload and share photos on Imgur. I found it to be much simpler to use than directly using Imgur.

Adam, thanks for info. Standard Imgur app is real pain to use. I quitted and used web version. Will try Quickimgur instead!

Day 17  GEC

The BARLOW pairs very well with a favorite! A Tony Bose Tribal Lock.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Do need to polish up the pivot bolsters, as the pocket sheath apparently tarnishes the bolsters.
(The next task)
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!
