Guess the tool

A pretty unique tool for what I do. Just wondering if anyone has seen/used it before?

EDIT:  OK, Google search images found one for me.  I'm guessing you might be doing locksmith (or similar) work ...  ?

yep hit the nail on the head. Recently started as a locksmith for a firm with commercial contracts. It’s basically to aid and speed up cutting locks into new doors

Fascinating tool!

My best guess was that it looked like a wheel puller, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out what you needed something like that for inside.  Then I saw the radiator in your picture and thought that maybe it was for pulling radiator fittings or something.

Locks were the furthest thing from my mind, although now that it's been mentioned, it makes a lot of sense.

I was a little confused by the radiator comment.  Then I saw the symbol for Yamaha.  Three tuning forks.  Yamaha always made pianos and such.  Along with road burners.  Best wishes.  G

  I looked at the original photo and noticed the radiator in it.  That was the radiator Grant mentioned and not the Yamaha three tuning forks emblem used as an avatar.  Best wishes.  G

Yeah but see...Googling it makes it easy.

As for me, I saw the threads and rods, similar to a car spring compressor.  Like others, I thought it may have to do with heating / the radiator.  I was trying to prove together why a radiator would need somewhat exacting pressure put on it at two ends...thought maybe this could somehow hold it in place while you affix it to the wall or something.

Or, yeah, locksmith stuff
