I guess I'll have to change my estimate of how many SAK I've lost. It's probably still something around 5, but in a long disused gym bag I found one I'd forgotten. Not too long after one of my nicest ones, with pliers and a proper Philips blade and a magnifier, was stolen, I found this one on a boat ramp in Georgia. I also lost it for a couple of years back in the 90's when painting the house, and it showed up in the grass again after quite a long rest period. I guess I'd better keep an eye on this one. It does not like being lost!
It appears to be a mid-80's variant of the Huntsman. It has the small V Victorinox on the blade, no tweezers or toothpick, no hole in the awl, no carrying hook, and the lanyard ring on the spring, but a four-twist corkscrew, which if I read this right puts it somewhere between 1983 and 85. It's in pretty decent shape, worn, and as usual has only the merest trace of emblem left on the scales. And some previous owner apparently tried to sharpen the blade with a grinder, and left a nasty mark, but its sharp at the moment. [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]
e.t.a. and, of course, yes I do realize the scissors spring is missing.
