Instructions for two-in-one layer?
on: August 22, 2024, 08:00:06 PM
Hi! I am looking for a guide on how to fit a double opener layer across from a phillips on a 93mm alox model. I know Syph007 has done it as well as Jalox, but ai haven’t found instructions yet. Could anyone provide a link? Thanks!

I don't think there are step-by-step instructions but Syph's descriptions tell it all: use a short 91mm inline Phillips and reshape the tang to match the 93mm openers (that's the hardest part). Then use two 93mm opener bacsprings in opposite orientations and add the appropriate spacers (in my experience 1mm and .5mm) next to the Phillips.

This is spot on.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Would anyone have pictures of the Phillips after filing it?

Here is how mine is looking. I also changed both springs. I'm not sure I'll ever do this mod again  :o
