 Day 10

“Islands in the stream…”

Two of my favorite Buck moderns.

Saunter models,   Both Carbon Scales, the black is S35VN steel, the other was a BOM, and is fitted with 154CM.  Model 250.
The 2nd year made, done Micarta and offered two blade styles, Spear point or Clip point, in two colors.

A great size for pocket carry and these two are just plain SHARP!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

I feel ya! I filled up all the gas cans yesterday incase the ice takes out the power here. We still have the hurricane fresh on our minds.
We did that last week just in case our Central Texas electrical infrastructure can't handle the load.  We may not use the generator often but I love the peace of mind it gives me.  Kids were sorely disappointed that all we got was cold rain and ice.  No snow to be found around these parts.

Day 10

Just a little bit of package duty for the Swiss Legend today.

May the best of your past, be the worst of your future.

Day 10
Today I wore the Buck 140c Pak Lite skinner as a neck knife but never had any use for it.

Bonus day 10 pic.

These are the Buck's I found at the flea market at good prices. (Except the black one was bought at a retail store ) Guess I should try to work them into the challenge.

Day 10

I sharpened my chef's knife today so I could slice these onions. Normally, I'd probably just open the bag with the chef knife, but I used the 110 today.  [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

Day 10: I loved lazar's 112 drop point so much that I had to order one for myself. It just arrived today. It sure is pretty! It is going to take a little cleaning up though. It's awfully gritty when opening. I'm thinking a good flushing will do the trick. Used the 055 to open the package as well!

Nice!  Mine was a little gritty as well, a good cleaning and fresh oil solved it.  Smooth as butter now!

Day 9

This is the 658 Small Pursuit Pro.  It’s a handy little fixed blade, weighing only 4.6 oz with sheath.  Blade length is comparable to a 110.  This Pro version features S35VN steel.  The handle is a bit on the small side for my larger than average hands.

Day 11

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

The LT series  were introduced and I found them fully functional and yet lighter for pocket carry. This was awl before the slim select series!

The Drop point on the 110 is very handy.
The 112 continues to find itself being put to use, regrettably I did not purchase a 112 drop point when available. The 112 with a drop point nears perfection in my book!😉
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Day11

Got a pizza for lunch and as you can see, the restaurant didn’t cut through all the way. It’s times like this that I am  glad I always have a pocketknife  :climber:

In hindsight, since I  just got this knife from FarmerX, I really hope this wasn’t your toe knife.  :-\

Day 11:
Checked a bunch of tasks off of the honey-do list. Had the 110 Slim Select in the pocket along with the 055. Used the 055 to dig a deep sliver out. Didn't snap a pic because it was big enough that I didn't want to delay in the relief of removal. 🤣 Used the 110 for a few random things like opening a bag or two. Worst part of the day was the loose thumb stud on the 110 relieving it's self of it's duty. No more one hand opening until I can get some better drill bits to drill the hole out to fit a spare Benchmade thumb stud I've got.

Opened up the Roxon Flex for (probably) next month's challenge. Gotta start figuring out my loadout and ordering some implements to go with it.
