The reason for the absence, it that my mum died on 25th, our world is broken, and we are devastated...I have no other family (that we want to know, as they are horrendous and mean), so it is just my wonderful wife and two beautiful girls, now in a strange frightening world.... I'll post a picture tomorrow to finish up, but unlikely to be back on the forum for a long time...while we navigate our way through sorrow and pain.

I heartbroken reading your words.

I know it is an absence that can not be described, the lost of one’s mother!😥.

Mine when to heaven in early July a couple days after her 92nd birthday, and we knew she was prepared and ready. Yet, it felt like the sky fell in.

You have your girls, your wife and many others holding you up in our prayers.

Sincere condolences from this old man!🙏
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

An email arrived from BUCK sharing comments following SHOT Show about BUCK’s introductions.

Day 28;

Forgot to post yesterday, but more than made up for it today.

Cut off a twist-tie to free the 1 tsp. measure from a set of measuring spoons--I can rarely find what few teaspoons I keep in the silverware drawer; and need them to make instant coffee.

Peeled an orange with the 301's secondary blades. Personally, the Buck in-house 301s sport secondary blades too thick for my tastes.

The high winds finished off an already long-past-its-prime storm door closer by bending the shaft 45 degrees. Bought a new one at Lowe's and used the 110LT Slim Select to open the parts bags.

My condolences gra_farmer.

Day 29

Normally, I'd use scissors or, you now, a paper cutter. But what the heck, it's a challenge. The 110 did pretty well on the first handful, okay on the next few, and pretty much gave up around layer 10. I could've pressed harder, but I think we can safely say slicing a stack of papers in half is not a great task for a pocket knife.

No real use for the 055, but it did accompany first to the shooting range then to a trivia event.

Day 29 of Buck

Today I got my high rail truck stuck in the infamous clay mud in Gruene Texas. Had to have a tractor pull me out. Used the Buck to cut tow strap that got caught in PTO.

Cleaned up Buck 112.

I don’t know if we ever picked a winner and thought with just a few days left we should.

I was about to make the olive one be the badge. Any objections? The challenge is almost over.

DAY 30

Thank you for everyone's condolences and well wishes...

Back to the challenge....the hartsook preparing grapes for the children breakfast.

I only had one Buck knife in the collection, and feel that it has a place in a forgotten pocket of a possible pouch, or EDC in a mollie wallet, or from my experience in the secret pocket of my Rohan trousers, ready to be used but forgotten throughout the day.

Day 30

Started this challenge with 3 Bucks, standard 110, Strider, and Wenger Buck

Finished with 4 after seeing the 110 LT posted numerous times.  Here is the final grouping.

Day 30: I'm finishing the challenge off with the 112 TRX. The 055 got left at home today to make room for my new 84mm custom that came in the mail from Lazar yesterday. I've really enjoyed this 112 throughout the challenge. I carried it when I first got it but it quickly took backseat to others. It just feels so good in the hand.

Can't wait to see what you do with the 84mm, look forward to future pics!  Maybe we should do an 84mm 30 day challenge, is there a 30 day badge for 84mm's?

It will be a fun one! We did the "tween" challenge with 84 and 85mm Vic and Wengers about a year and a half ago. I'd participate if there is another one though!
