The PST reminds me in many ways of the original VW Beetle.  To the casual observer it looks unchanged from beginning to end.  Looking closely, I don't know if any part of it wasn't modified over the years for various reasons.

Great observation, Barry!

Day 2
Starting the day admiring the PST while having breakfast.

Screwed on some hooks to the back of a door.

Didn't use the pst saw but used the surge's saw when cutting off some wood pieces for a cabinet.

Trying to cut some nylon rope with the wire cutter is not a very good idea when the piler handle joint is a bit loose and floppy. Needed to pry the piler head open with a slotted driver. Used the blade instead afterwards.

DAY 2

I used the Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screw to a kitchen cabinet door.

Day 2

PST II

The combo blade  serves it purpose!  I prefer the separate blades in later models😉

Here it is holding down the only honest fortune cookie prediction I have read in my 71 years

If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Day 2 of 30

Well after a great day of carry the PST 1.5, I decided that I wanted the change the suspension clip out to something a bit better for me  :D

I noticed someone mention that they would miss OHO blades and pocket clips this month and it got me to thinking

I have done this challenge more than a few times with regular and modded PSTs so I wanted a bit more out of this one :ahhh

So..... I added a pocket clip and a OHO Blade :woohoo:

Here is the updated PST 1.5 :D

I will show the rest of the toolset later this week for those who haven't seen it or have forgotten about it

The pocket clip will likely always stay on this one now and possibly the OHO blade as well :salute:

Great entries everyone!

Day 2

A 1997 PST that I believe was purchased from Costco as it has an item # on the back.  No plans of opening it since I have others.
Rest in peace ColoSwiss, you will always be remembered.

That’s one way to do it! What’s the added blade from?  :like:

 :iagree:

I’ve never owned a beetle, but have worked some on a couple beetles and the old buses in various states of wear back in the late aughts and early ‘10s.  We didn’t have any proper MTs with us, just cheapo ones. I remember a set of slip joint pliers, vise grips, a couple screwdrivers, and a socket set could keep one running. I think we’re lucky to have not gotten stranded on a country road somewhere.  I don’t even know what kind of magic runs my Prius.

I see a lot of these ‘97 PSTs with the nylon sheath and tool adapter. I think the adapter was released  before ‘97, but I wonder why the surge in releases.

Day 2

As part of the Minichamp challenge, I’m trying to get that little thing to hold its own.  The PST is backup as I already have this badge.

I had to pop down and flip a breaker. I wondered if I could open the box if all I had was the MC.  Maybe! The ruler flat head is maybe strong enough in an emergency. It would be better to just have a full size SAK or MT.  In fact, the PST even had trouble because I last tightened these bolts with the Electrician flat head and torqued a little harder than I would have with the PST flat head.

[ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I don’t use the small flat heads for much, mostly removing electrical outlet covers and sometimes toy screws.
