I understand that! I will try my best!

It helps to have more than two hands for the action photos.

Time to start training your kids to either take pictures or use multitools. Never too young!

Thanks for the tip, a really good one!  :D But one is only 3 months old and the second one is 1 year and 9 months old. So I will need to wait about a year more for this!  :ahhh

Well, looks like my JPST will be used in the challenge (at least early on). It may be used to free another PST from its packaging... who knows?

I already have the badge and am doing the Minichamp challenge, but I don’t think I want to miss out here. I love to see the variants that folks have. I’ll try to keep up and post the PST tagging along with the Minichamp.

A couple questions before starting my first challenge.

Is a box cutter or folder allowed?

Does it have to be the same Leatherman for the whole challenge?

Picture of at least one of the PST's i'll use. I sharpened up a well worn BO I picked up off of ebay recently. I also have several PST's, PST2's and Sideclips. No flair yet

To answer your questions: a utility knife or folder can supplement the PST, but the latter must be your primary tool if circumstances are appropriate. And you're not restricted to one PST insofar as I'm aware.

Thanks for the reply. I just didn't want to fumble around with it at work when putting away orders and cutting down boxes. It will be the only multi tool I carry next month. I have been switching out multi tools almost daily so it will be challenging.

I'm living it up with pocket clips and one hand opening models for today and tomorrow.  :D

I plan on going extreme with no other knives, I'm going to box up the rest and pretend I don't own any others for the month, no fidgeting with other knives, just a monogamous time with the PST.  :multi: haha I might have withdrawl symptoms. Thankfully I have a brand new ARC sitting in a box waiting for me come december, my lovely wife intercepted it and now its being saved for Christmas.

I usually like to carry either a traditional knife or occasionally a modern folder with my leatherman, so my pockets will be a little lighter this month.

Glad I could help clarify things for grouch. I can certainly understand that a utility knife would take over for a PST at work, especially if an employer places too great an emphasis on speed and/or considers a PST somehow unsafe. I'll still be using my ST300s at work, as I don't want to subject a long-discontinued tool to grimy and potentially strenuous duty.

I would in a heartbeat too, but I don't want to look anything except professional in front of my customers on site. I'll give it a chance when I'm back at the warehouse and leave the folder in the vehicle for deliveries only. I may even build a one hand pst by the end of the month if I get frustrated enough. It's getting a pocket clip and some other mods tomorrow.

I am the employer, I make the rules lol. I've been doing it long enough to form habits that I don't want to relearn in public though, like how to use a knife. The mechanics would call me out with no hesitation and no mercy just like I would do to them. I've been running off with their knives ever since I got the Work Sharp Pro. I leave them loaner and clean and sharpen theirs up for them, so they know it's a passion and hobby of mine.

I think the second hardest part will be remembering to post a picture every day. I have to jump through hoops to get pics that are small enough to post here. I'll probably see if there is a way to use Photoshop Elements 6 on any computer from this decade as I glare at the software I once purchased. Off to youtube to learn I probably can't.

The forum software is resizing pictures, it doesn't always work but it does most of the time   :tu:

Day 0 of 30

Figured I had better go ahead and get mine out for the Challenge today or else I would forget it tomorrow

I am going to try this connection with a suspension clip and see how it goes :salute: I will probably also sheath carry some as well ;)

I also have an mod idea that Sam had done to PST years ago to put a OHO blade on it :tu: may do that this month or not :dunno: :D

Good luck all.
